Memorial Park — Attraction in Stockbridge

This park is one of the best kept secrets in Henry County! It is one of the cleanest and most well-maintained of all the parks in Stockbridge or Henry County and even surrounding. The tiny parking lot (which is rarely full) is the only setback. There are updated playgrounds, as well as an awesome adaptive, sensory playground that kids off all ages and abilities can't seem to get enough of. There is a full basketball court, an amphitheater, two paved loop trails and the park is also the entrance to the new Reeves Creek Trail which is also fabulous and well kept. This park is okay. There's an older kids & younger kids playground separate from one another. Not much to either section. My 5 year old was bored quickly. There were spider webs everywhere. The best thing were the sit & spins. I do like the fact that you can walk the path around the playgrounds. I notice some people bike on the walking path as well. There's a basketball court. Great atmosphere. I go in the evening and there are little kids playing on the playground equipment, young men & women playing basketball, and others enjoying the trail. People are mostly friendly and say "hello" or wave as they pass when walking. The Reeves Creek Trailhead starts at the park. It is completely paved but the wooden bridges could use some maintenance.
