I decided to support this black-owned establishment because it’s in my neighborhood and was recommended by a neighboring restaurant I frequent. The atmosphere was pleasant, with a good number of patrons but nowhere near a full house.
However, here’s where my 1-star review for service comes into play.
My son and I sat for nearly 20 minutes without a single waitress or staff member offering us a drink or taking our order. Despite there being only five occupied tables, their orders had been placed. There were numerous staff members standing, walking back and forth, either in front or behind us, yet no one approached our table. I had to get the attention of what appeared to be a manager and ask how to order.
On the positive side, the food was good. It was a bit pricey, as some customers mentioned, but nevertheless, it was tasty. I had a garden-style pizza with a thin crust, which I appreciated. My son also enjoyed his wings.
My advice would be to be more attentive to your guests. The wait time was unnecessary considering the...
Read moreOrdered a large pepperoni pizza. That thing had easily double the cheese of any other pizza place around here. I was satisfied after one slice and dumb full after the second slice! Took one star off for what is probably a training issue. All take out orders must be paid for over the phone. I understand that for large orders, odd to do it for a one pie order. The person on the phone quoted me $16 and some change, which feels like a standard price around this area. But when I get there, it seems the price jumped to $24. Turns out the $16 price I was quoted on the phone was the base price for a cheese pizza. The pepperoni was an extra $2 and they do add an 18% autograt. It's not a big deal, had they quoted me $24 over the phone, I would have been fine with it. This is an issue that will be fixed over time and I'll be back to...
Read moreI went here excited to support what I was told is a black-owned pizza restaurant. The service was impeccable. The environment was nice, clean and laid back. The food and price for what I received were preposterous. I got 2 slices of pizza, where the toppings separated from the chewy crust, for $26. I don't mind the price when it's worth it. This was not worth it. Zero reasons to go back. I gave 2 stars based on the nice, friendly bartenders. Side note, as a fellow business owner, 1 slice per box is ridiculous and not very cost effective. Disclaimer - I'm not from here. Where I'm from restaurants don't nickel and dime you with extra random fees. Roll it into the price, provide a good product, and people will pay it without a...
