TL:DR For those who want to know where the heck to park and how to validate, I parked at Coy Garage at 130 N Hunter St and the validation machine was on the customer service desk in the theater at the end closest to the doors, so don't leave your parking ticket in your car. It should print a timestamp on your parking ticket, if It does not ask someone to help you.
I've never been to this theater before because Stockton has a very bad reputation, and I could never find any concrete information on parking. I looked all over their site and facebook page but could not find a specific place to go. I pored through many reviews but only got vague references to every parking area within 5 blocks. And of course I saw reviews saying some places do not allow validation. Not a single person said where exactly they went. Well, I rolled the dice and chose Coy parking garage which is at 130 N Hunter St. It was a decent parking garage but the elevators were filthy and had graffiti all over the place. As I was walking to the elevators I could see the Regal sign. I crossed a street and walked about a block to the theater. On the way several homeless people asked for money and there were lots of religious people proselyting. But the area was pretty clean and modern looking. The theater itself was very nice, clean, and the bathrooms were just fine, many people reported terrible bathroom conditions, but not for me. The theater I had was very clean and had recliner chairs. After the movie I went in search of the validation machine. I could not find it anywhere. I went to the customer service desk and asked and they pointed to a little machine tucked away on the back corner of the desk. The desk is right next to the entrance, which is the opposite side you'd expect to find the machine. I imagine they did that on purpose so people end up having to pay for the parking. I tend to avoid parking garages so I haven't seen many validation machines. This one had no instructions, and I was lost. One of the people at the desk tried to tell me how to do it, but I couldn't figure it out. They were patient and ended up doing it for me. You have to slide it from the side all the way to the back for it to work. It should put a time stamp. The parking attendant took the ticket and I was on my way. This is a nice theater and, once you know how, easy parking. It's still Stockton, but it's not too bad for Stockton. I would give this place 5 stars, but the complete lack of concrete parking information and the almost hidden and hard to figure out validation machine...
Read moreReally disappointing and inconsiderate staff, along with Nonsensical corporate responses/ implementations. I purchased a movie ticket in advance for the the first show available on Beetlejuice Beetlejuice opening day so that I could get in line outside before opening early enough to be able to purchase one of the Beetlejuice sandworm popcorn buckets. My sister who suffers from extreme anxiety, depression, and mild Agoraphobia had a birthday on the 9/2, and I wanted to surprise her with one of those buckets because she was so disappointed that she wouldn’t be able to get one- She wanted it so bad. I arrived at the theater early and there were may be 20 to 25 people ahead of Me in line prior to the facility opening. When they open the doors, we all went straight to the concession stand. I and a majority of the others in line were reluctantly waiting hopes of getting our own. We were extremely disheartened by the fact that single people were walking away with two or three buckets, And shocked and disgusted by the fact that regardless of the heavily marketed item, they only had 14 in stock! We alll counted as they walked off, some single people with 2-3 buckets. This is either a terrible oversight by the theater or their corporate office- or purposeful misleading advertising just to get more people in the theater. I requested a refund for the ticket to the movie which I did not see and tried to talk to a manager about the issue along with many others in line, but they stoically and exasperatedly said they were sorry and they couldn’t do anything and just stopped talking to us. Aside from the bureaucratic and uncaring reaction from the staff and lack of foresight by whoever was in charge of getting those buckets in stock-
Their ticket prices are significantly more expensive than AMC, the facility is overrated and pushed it past the line with that rude and unprofessional staff/ situation.
Really sad.. especially because any one of them could have just referred me to the regal website where it’s available for January 2025 pre-order.. All around just frustrating, unprofessional,...
Read moreWhere do I start, well after getting our tickets with my sister and brother in law, I had to wait at the concession stand for about 5min for someone to come from the back room. Ok, I understand your understaffed, fine. We sit down 30min before the movie cause of course you need see the previews, all part of why most of us go to the movies. Well before the previews theres those promotions and videos they show. Theres was no sound, so I waited about 5mins before I got up to inform them there is no sound. But also back to the concession for more goodies. Sat down finally the previews start, again no sound, this time I waited through 3 previews without sound only to get back up again. Since im up I everyone wanted something from the concession stand again. See the pattern... anyways I informed the female manager of the situation who then got on her mic to inform someone to fix it. Finally back to my seat only to catch the last preview. Ok fine, I watch the movie which was great, but after the movie I find the manager Aaron. Told him the situation, he replied "but the movie didn't start yet." So im supposed to wait till the movie starts to inform then? Then I explained to him, not once but twice I had to get up to complain while spending money at your concession. I informed him I don't want money back but 3 movie tickets would be great, to make it right. Aaron goes in the back office for a few minutes only to return with 1 ticket after I showed him proof of my ticket stubs, stating" I'm giving you one ticket cause your the only one that got up!" I declined the one ticket. Im in the customer service business. What's 3 tickets to make it right with a customer and have their returning business and recommendation? Guess not a whole lot to Aaron and the theatre. I'd recommend going to another theater even if it take a little longer. Wont...
