There is a reason this place has so many 5 star reviews. In short, this is the place to go for cards/boardgames. I drive 1 hour just to come here!
I am a newer player to magic. Been playing for about 6 months now. I've been to some shops and I've done some selling/trading of cards online, but this place ia the best.
The people who work here are very friendly and helpful. Ive seen them helping teach people how to play magic and ive actually asked if he has recommendations for cards for different decks and they know what they are talking about. There is a little chaotic looking table in the back, but if you need a random card, he seems to know exactly where it is on that table, witch is funny and awesome.
I went in with some cards to do a trade in and got a pretty sweet deal on my cards and got some good cards from him for a reasonable price. I enjoyed the fact that i didnt have to deal with haggling and people lowballing you on things. They looked up every card, sorted them by price, and told me if i dont want to trade it in for what he said or if i think i might just use the card to keep it instead of trading it in. I thought that was cool because he seemed to card more about me as a person rather then pressure me into giving him the cards.
Overal, this place rocks. If you like board games or magic, i highly reccomend coming here to buy or sell cards, or to play boardgames/ magic with the people who regularly...
Read moreStore is very well organized and clean. Used to come here for day 1 pokemom releases, even willing to pay slightly above msrp for the convenience. However, the past couple sets have been egregiously overpriced from day 1. I understand market price currently, but I still refuse to pay more than a couple dollars over MSRP for japanese cardboard. I'll continue to take my chances with Pokemon Center, Target, and Meijer restocks. I would encourage you to do the same, or wait for the hobby to return to some form of normality before paying these second hand prices. In truth, if people refused to buy at these prices, the market would correct...
Read moreI was just in there this afternoon. My son and his best friend were introduced to Magic the Gathering by my son’s best friend’s dad. They wanted to get a starter deck. I know nothing about this game, but something they are interested in. So, I wanted to help them get started. The very nice lady there (didn’t catch her name) was so helpful getting us what we needed for them to start playing. I am sure I asked a bunch of dumb questions, she didn’t mind and answered all of them. There really are young people out there who care about their jobs and take pride in their work. I hope this young lady sees this and feels...
