This is the best antique shop around! The owner, Max, really knows his stuff and is incredibly interesting to banter with. If I had to describe Prairie Emporium, I would say it's historically eccentric. When I go in there, I make sure I have plenty of time, because I spend at least an hour looking at all of the unique pieces Max has accumulated throughout the years. Would highly recommend! While staying in Sturgis just after the motorcycle rally last year, we purchased a few items that were too large to transport back home on the motorcycle. We worked with Max who was able to ship all of our items to us in Colorado - for a very affordable price. And, all items were packed very carefully. Great place and we look forward to returning! Max Fjelstad is such an amazing man and I love his shop. My neice and I were taking photos outside the store and he came out and posed for a photo and was just so sweet and nice. He deserves all the business in the world, he's got such cool stuff and it's so amazingly priced! Absolutely a spot I will go to again and again.
