The “Dungeon Bar” is THE “Run-A-Way Bill” Favorite bar in Sturgis.
Truly qualifies for the title of “Dive Bar” ... the kinda bar you might hesitate to enter - down dimly lit steps to the even more dimly lit basement bar.
The old vault from this old bank location adds real character to the dive bar. “Sharpie” markings cover ever empty space, even the few scattered beer neon tubes.
Bras & dollar bills fill any open space ... a bag of “Fig Newton” cookies can be found hangin’ from the ceiling.
An outdoor patio is available out the rear basement stairway.
I was told the “Dungeon” is only open 4 months of the year during “Sturgis Rally” season.
A “must” visit when in Sturgis.

   Read moreI wasn't impressed. I'd read this was a must see place in Sturgis but I don't see why. Other than being old & shabby it was HOT. Very dark & no air circulation. I don't find that pleasant in S.D. in August. Don't get me wrong I LOVE a good dive bar(been to many in my day....anyone ever heard of the former Bird House in Girdwood,Ak to name one). Thing is a good dive needs to be more than dark. Drop by if you must but there are so many more interesting spots here & in the surrounding...
