I stopped in on a Thursday at lunch hour while I was on my way to Custer. As of Sept. 12, they do still have a limited menu. I felt bad for the girl behind the bar, I don't remember her name, but she was blonde. She was all alone with people walking in non-stop and trying to do all of it minus cooking. She was working her butt off just trying to keep up. My first job was in a small town diner and I worked alone so I know how hard it can actually get. Kudos to her for doing her best.
As far as the food, I had the grilled chicken sandwich with all the fixings, and tots. Best chicken sandwich I've had in quite a while and the tot's were perfectly crisp. I thought the portions were fair, but the price is a little steep. I did have one of the Monkey brand light beers. I'm not sure who the brewer is, but it was not bad at all.
I also bought some merch and that is where the sticker shock really comes in. You will definitely be paying a rally price for a t-shirt. For just food and a drink per person you're in the $20 ball park. Add any merch to that, and expect to at least double if not triple or quadruple your bill. A bumper sticker was $5, can coozie $10, SHIRTS $40.
TLDR - Prices are kind of high, food is pretty good, Monkey brand beer is pretty good, and they're light on staff so come in expecting to wait and...
Read moreThe place is cool to take pictures of outside if you are here for sturgis. However, terrible food inside and service. Waited 1 hour for a chicken sandwhich that was dryer than the South Dakota desert and a burger that was cold and tasted like my drunk uncle made it at a barbecue. Very small portions too.
1 plain cheese burger, 1 plain dry chicken sandwhich and 2 alcoholic beverages was 50 dollars. Understandable that it is busy during the rally, but we went to a lot of places in sturgis , deadwood, and rapid city and this was the worst for food and service.
Richard Rawlings happened to show up and he will take a picture if you ask . But he barely smiles which is fine, at least he took a picture. Not trying to be picky, but just wanted to inform everyone to just use this place for pictures and eat at the other actual...
Read moreI never leave reviews really but I wanted to after I never heard anything back after almost 4 weeks of messaging the place on Facebook. Anyways, im Sturgis a local. Wanted this place so badly be "the spot". Watch all the videos, my 6 year old daughter loves them too. She was excited to go....welp.. The menu is still in "rally mode" it seems. Theres also no prices posted for anything. From the overpriced $6 Busch 16 oz cans to the $6 small slices of low quality pizza to the small as hell/more frozen tasting burger than McDonalds I was extremely let down. Its not a damn good burger, its laughably bad. There is nothing to bring you here except the name. I dont know how they expect to stay open year round if it stays like it is. Change the menu asap. I want this to be a place I...
