Great reuse of a historic bank. Price was $14 a piece, but I did find a Buy 1 Get 1 Free coupon in a Visitor's Guide. There are additional taxes, so you do pay more. They do ask if you would like to Round Up to support the museum. I had a Buy 1 Get 1 Half Off that I gave to a fellow camper that rode his motorcycle with us to Sturgis during Bike Week. He found another single customer so he could use the coupon. It didn't take long. There are 2 levels with stairs going down, but I did see a wood encased elevator in the middle of the display area that looked operational, if needed. The gift shop does have a souvenir penny press machine. There are name bricks out in front of the museum that I am sure were used as a fundraiser.

The museum was great. I dropped off my dad who is disabled and he liked it a lot. However, a lady approached me on the parking lot aggressively and threatened me to get towed. The museum directory stated that we are on the museum parking lot and that the museum has disability parking next to their building. Be aware that disabled people get towed and threatened. Below is a picture of the person who threatened us and called a tow truck. We had medical problems in the aftermath due to the heat because we could not find our people in time. As I stated, no waiting for disabled people. The car was 100% occupied during the wait. The engine was never turned off.

The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum is a must see when you are in town. The admission fee is reasonable. The Museum is well maintained. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Check out the attached photos. Gypsy and I spent about 2 hours viewing at least 100 Motorcycles. The Indian motorcycle exhibit was incredible. The Honda exhibit reminded me of my first motorcycle. When you are in the area stop by and take a trip to the history of the motorcycle.

We were on our way home and just had to stop in Sturgis. Too bad we didn't have our bikes and it wasn't August. We stopped off at the motorcycle museum. Very cool place, there is over 50 motorcycles of all different years. Very cool to see how motorcyles have evolved that way they are today. Reading the history of how Pappy Hoel has impacted the motorcycle community so greatly was nice to see.

Made a quick stop here just before they closed to pick up a great and unique gift from their store. The lady at the counter had a great attitude and was very helpful. Wish we'd had time to see the museum, but what we could see it looked like they had an amazing collection! We found some awesome items that really make for a special and unique gift!

The many different makes and types of bikes was awesome. I do not know my motorcycles by any means. Some are beautiful some show history. Stop by it's worth the trip. The Indian, Harley Davidson, Triumph as well as Hondas are all represented. I took this picture because purple and gold are our school colors.
