BEST URGENT CARE EVER… we recently had to visit AFC Urgent Care, and so glad we did. Our experience from start to finish was nothing short of excellent, and I feel compelled to share the details for others who might need fast, reliable care. Upon arriving, we were immediately greeted by the receptionist, who was warm, friendly, and efficient. The check-in process was quick, even though it was a busy day at the clinic. We didn’t feel like we were waiting for too long before being called back, which was a relief. The facility was clean, well-organized, and had a calming atmosphere that helped ease my nerves. As soon as we walked into the exam room, we were welcomed by the medical staff. The nurse who took my wifes vitals was professional but also kind and empathetic. It was obvious that she truly cared about how she was feeling, and she made sure to listen attentively to all of our concerns. The doctor who examined her was equally compassionate and took the time to explain everything thoroughly. It felt like they were genuinely invested in her well-being, and we didn’t feel rushed, which was a big plus. Even though the clinic was busy, the team didn’t let that compromise the quality of care. We needed an X-ray to assess an injury, and they got us in for that promptly. The X-ray technician was very efficient, explaining each step before and during the procedure to ensure my wife was comfortable. The whole process was surprisingly quick, yet they didn’t skimp on thoroughness. We felt like we were in good hands the entire time. The X-ray room was clean, and the technician was both professional and patient. My wife had X-rays in the past where she felt rushed, but this time, everything was explained carefully. The technician asked her to adjust her position a couple of times to make sure they got the clearest images. It made her feel confident that they were not cutting corners when it came to my care. Afterward, we didn’t have to wait long for the results to be reviewed by the doctor. Once the doctor reviewed our X-ray results, they took the time to sit with us and explain everything in detail. It was reassuring to have all of our questions answered without feeling like we were asking too much. The doctor gave us clear instructions on how to manage her condition, what to expect in the coming days, and when to follow up. We left the clinic feeling well-informed and with a solid plan for recovery. What stood out the most about our visit was the level of compassion shown by every staff member. It wasn’t just about providing a quick service; it was about making sure we felt heard, respected, and taken care of. From the receptionist to the doctor, everyone we encountered was genuinely caring and attentive. I also appreciated how fast and efficient everything was. Despite the clinic being busy, we never felt like I was waiting too long, and the entire visit was completed in a timely manner without sacrificing quality of care. We were initially worried about the potential for a rushed or impersonal experience, but this clinic exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff was friendly, professional, and incredibly compassionate. If I ever find myself in need of urgent care again, I would not hesitate to return to this clinic. In short, our visit to this urgent care center was a wonderful experience. The fast yet thorough service, combined with the compassionate and professional staff, made all the difference. I’m so grateful for the care we received and will definitely recommend this clinic to...
Read moreThis place has probably the worst staff in existence. They aren't capable of compassion or competency. Avoid at all costs.
I was in a car accident just prior to going to AFC. My car was the totaled Nissan Cube pictured. All of the air bags deployed. It was a terrible experience. Still not as bad as dealing with the staff at AFC.
My left ring finger was injured as shown in the attached picture. I thought my finger was broken at the middle knuckle, just after my wedding ring. There was a lot of swelling and obvious injury to the tissue so it couldn't be compressed to remove the ring.
My husband searched for a nearby, in network urgent care with an X-ray machine on-site and my best friend drove me to AFC. I briefly explained that I was just in an accident, thought my finger was broken, and wanted an X-ray.
As they pointed to the QR code to fill out the intake forms online, I asked if I entered my insurance information there or could give the card to them. They said I had to pay out of pocket because it was a car accident. I thought they thought I was trying to use some part of my auto insurance. I'm still not clear on what went wrong there but I ended up paying out of pocket. On the intake forms I put my reason for the visit as "broken finger".
The wait wasn't too long, which is the only nice thing I can say. In the back, the employee asked me what I needed an X-ray of and I said my finger, while pointing at the injury. We moved to the X-ray room, where she looked at my hand and told me to take off the ring. I looked at her incredulously and said I can't take it off. She immediately was rude and said I had an attitude. I started crying, said sorry for being too inconvenient to help when I'm in pain, and walked out with my friend.
On my way out, the lady still at the front desk told me sarcastically to have a great night. I told her they were really good at their jobs, sobbing and angry.
It was one of the worst parts of a really bad day.
Note: In management's response to my bad experience, they took no accountability for the terrible bedside manner. Apparently the lack of compassion is a top down problem. The bully to medical professional pipeline...
Read moreI would rate zero stars, if that was a possibility. I showed up 10 minutes BEFORE closing, with a child with an ear infection, she gets reoccurring ear infections, and it's about a three minute visit for a doctor to look in her ear and prescribe an rx. Even though they were not closed, the very rude front desk person said that they are not accepting patients. I asked if they were closed and she said no we're not closed but we're not accepting patients. I was very polite and asked as a mother if there's anyway they could see my daughter as it's a very fast appointment and they are not closed and she was snarky and said I would never wait till the last minute to take my children in. I will never be to this establishment again. The amount of rudeness is unbelievable. I told her that if they don't accept patients at a certain time, then they should update their hours to say they're closed because online they say they're open. For the record, my daughter has not felt well, but had not complained about her ears until just before we got there and I know that she will be up all night now because they get worse at night. The only interaction I had was with the receptionist, so I'm not sure if it's just her or the entire facility that is bad, but I didn't have an opportunity to rate the rest of the facility. This should have been handled way better and insulting a parent in front of her sick child is not a good look. At the very least she could have asked the doctor if he would see a sick child briefly but she was too busy rolling her eyes at me and being condescending which is the absolute last thing a mother needs when their child...
