Additional details your request… the incident below occurred on Friday, October 25, 2024 at approximately 1130 am. By the way I’d like to add that the store was fairly empty. Mrs Wendy came over from the back and took over due to me asking to get another employee to help assist. After T refused, she literally had no customers until one eventually came in. I could see if they were super busy but she was not. I just don’t appreciate her lack of customer service and unprofessionalism. This is not teamwork, I hope Mrs Wendy doesn’t have to pick up slack like this all day due to these actions by others to ensure customers have a great experience. If you have cameras in the store to review this interaction I highly recommend you use it for review and customer service training.
I was greeted by the first representative T with a return to Amazon in it’s original box. She asked if the box could be closed I tried my best. I asked T if she could help she said “no I can only offer you tape”. Again I explained to her that this is the original box and asked for her assistance. She refused to assist and I asked if the other person could assist since she refused to. Mrs Wendy came over with professional customer service and assisted me right away! No attitude, so kind, and so willing! The key word is that she HELPED! a packing store that don’t help pack? Wow … do better! Mrs Wendy should not have to stop what she was doing to do what you clearly refused to even TRY to attempt to do. If you have the spirit of “get somebody else to do it” take the day off. No one should have to pick up your slack because you chose not to assist your customers pack and you work at The UPS store. Do better! I gave 2 Stars because Mrs Wendy saved the day. I had an Amazon return to send back with multiple items to include an awkwardly shaped package and she took the time to help me find a box that would fit everything perfectly. It was close to closing and I didn't feel like she was rushing the interaction at all. She provided good and genuine customer service. Also her counterpart, who I did not get her name, was awesome as well. She greeted me as soon as I came in the store. She initially tried to assist me, but I was having a problem with pulling up the QR code for the return. She gave me a suggestion on how to access the code another way and politely asked me to step aside (which I totally understand) so she could help the next customer who was ready to go. The interactions with all of the customers were top-notch, but what impressed me was after I left out and was readying myself to leave another customer arrived less than 5 minutes after closing. He approached the door and realized it was locked so he went back to his car. The other UPS store employee walked out the last customer and motioned for the customer who had arrived late to come in and be serviced. In this day and age most employees dread working past their required time or would never welcome unnecessarily overextending themselves (because technically they were closed), but these young ladies were more concerned with helping their customers and providing excellent service then technicalities. Read moreI’m only giving a 10 because Raina’s service was just that great. Upon arrival, it seemed like the other workers either didn’t want to be there or wanted to push customers off on Raina. The attitude I could sense coming off of the other workers was enough to push me into the young woman’s line. I heard her conversation with the other customers ahead of me and it seems that they either felt like she was the hardest worker, or that she was the kindest worker so that’s why they chose her line. For me again, it was the attitudes seeping from the other workers for me. She looked extremely overworked and overwhelmed as it was my turn in line so I pushed our conversation into a different direction to see where her head was. She’s a better person than me, I’ll tell you that much. You never know what people are going through. Me asking about her day so far made such a difference in her. She almost immediately perked up. It seemed like she was super overwhelmed again, she had been servicing customers for the entire duration of me being at the store. While every other minute, it seemed her coworkers were chatting it up and having a great old time with each other but having a hard time giving the same energy and attention to paying customers. RAINA DID GREAT AND DESERVES A RAISE HONESTLY. She’s the only reason I’d recommend or ever USE this location ever again.
