I came into Dick’s Sporting Goods planning to purchase running shoes and was glad to see the option to try on multiple pairs. Unfortunately, my experience with one staff member at the try-out area left me discouraged. When I mentioned I thought I had requested another pair, he mockingly said, “If it’s not here, they must still be looking for it.” Later, when my husband and I were trying on shoes, he reminded us more than once that staff “have to help other customers,” even though we weren’t exceeding any limits and were being mindful of time.
To be clear, the other staff we interacted with were polite and professional - this feedback is specific to that one employee (I regret that I didn’t catch his name). What made the situation more frustrating is that the store wasn’t even busy - there was only one other customer, and they were treated politely. The contrast made the interaction feel personal and, honestly, like it could have been racially motivated. That’s a very uncomfortable experience to have in a store where you’re simply trying to make a purchase.
In the end, I actually found a pair I liked but chose not to purchase because of the poor interaction. I normally don’t post reviews publicly, but when I asked at the front desk about leaving feedback, I was told this was the only option. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback: customers come to physical stores specifically to try on shoes before making an important purchase, and everyone deserves to be treated with the same courtesy...
Read moreI want to take a moment to recognize and appreciate the incredible dedication of the frontline employees at this location. Working in retail is no easy task, especially when faced with challenges like inventory shortages or delays, things often out of their control. Even when certain items aren’t available or things don’t go as expected, the staff here consistently do their best to help every customer. They remain professional, patient, and kind under pressure, and that deserves respect not frustration or criticism. Also, a friendly reminder: please avoid showing up during the last 20–30 minutes before closing. These employees have had a long day and are trying to wrap up so they can go home to their families and rest. You've had all day to shop, respect their time and effort. Too often, one-star reviews are left in the heat of the moment, based on emotion or unrealistic expectations. But behind every uniform is a real person doing their best. Let’s show them compassion and understanding. To anyone reading this before leaving a negative review, please consider the human aspect. A little patience and kindness can go a long way for them and...

Anyway I bought two new ones in the store and gave my two Tennis Racquets for restringing at the checkout counter. I wasn't told how long the service would take upfront. I was handed a piece of paper that neither had a contact number nor the estimated time of completion. I asked the cashier about turnaround time and was told that it typically takes 3-7 days and I'll get a call as soon as it's ready to pickup.
Fast forward one week. I hadn't got a call. I called the front desk about the order status and was told that they would be ready the next day and when I asked what time I could pick them up - they said they would call me when it's ready.
Called again after a couple of days - I was told the one of the racquets were ready for pickup. And the other one would take a day more and they would call me.
Fast forward 2 weeks after the date of order - I had not received any call/voicemail from them. Went directly to the store with the intention of getting my racquets in whatever condition they were in and luckily they had...
