Pizza My Heart — Restaurant in Sunnyvale

We wanted to order 14 pizzas for my kid’s birthday, so We stopped by the store a couple of days before to place the order. The guy at the front, Peter, was super nice and really helpful. Turns out, he’s actually the store manager, which surprised us since he was working up front and helping customers directly.

He walked us through everything, explained the current deals, and made the whole process really easy. Fast forward to the day of the party—Peter himself delivered the pizzas, right on time! He said he just wanted to make sure everything was perfect, which we really appreciated.

The pizzas were hot, fresh, and seriously delicious. We got tons of compliments from guests asking where the food was from, and everyone was impressed when we told them the manager delivered it himself. I watched one of the workers, a tall bearded dude, struggle to slide the pizza off the peel and into the oven, so he put his lips up to the dough and blew under it. He did this a few of times, I guess to lift the dough off the peel. That's disgusting. There are plenty of ways to get the pizza off the peel that don't involve your unsanitary mouth. No one wants you blowing saliva all over the bottom of their pizza.

My biggest concern is that if you think it's okay to press your lips to the dough and blow under it in clear view of customers, then what do you do when the customer can't see you?

I ordered "delivery" through THEIR WEBSITE. I wanted something local. In Texas they have local pizza chains with delivery.

There was nothing to indicate that they actually don't deliver, but use DoorDash. I've never used DoorDash and it was a total nightmare.

To their credit, they were willing to try to get my pizza to me three times last night. Three hours later, I had a cold-ish, disheveled pizza.

I can't speak to their actual quality. They should put something early in the ordering process to indicate that delivery is handled by DoorDash, and there is very little they can do if your delivery...
