I am FURIOUS about the experience that I had there today. This could have been prevented with a simple phone call but now my time has been wasted and I still have to get my nails done.
I called last week to schedule an appointment with my usual nail tech. When I got there today, someone else started my pedicure, but that is not unusual. I was engaged in vacation planning on my phone so I wasnât really paying attention to the time. I figured my nail tech was coming back from lunch or something. 90 minutes after my appointment time, someone grabs my hand and asks if I need a fill. I told them that I needed a full set and that I scheduled an appointment with An. She informed me that An was not there today. I asked why I didnât get a phone call informing me of this or why someone didnât tell me this at any other time after I arrived. iâve been thinking about going to another salon anyway because Iâve realized that while my nails look really nice under the light in the salon, they donât always look as good once I leave. I really like my nail tech so Iâve decided to stay and just give her some feedback about what I would prefer. After this experience, I donât want to go back to this nail salon because my time was disrespected and they acted like it was a non-issue. I was running a little late and they called me to see if I was still coming. They could have easily told me that An was not there today on that call, although that should have been something that I was informed of much earlier than my appointment time. I understand that life happens, Iâm not bothered that An wasnât there. Iâm upset because I wasnât given the common courtesy...
Read moreJust relocated from out of state and I have to say this was one of the most painful dip manicures that I have ever had. I have had my nails done regularly for the past 3 years and now I really miss my last technician. To begin with, they do not soak your hands at all so when they trim your cuticles, it is incredibly painful for them to dig the cuticle trimmer into your fingers to trim. I left with two bleeding fingers and both hands were sore. The technician was not gentle at all even after she made two fingers bleed. They also donât use any solution to remove your original dip. They only use the tools and they do not remove all of the original dip which I have never had done. Every time I have gotten my dip nails redone for the last three years, they have soaked off the dip powder and started the new dip color with clean nails. This was such a basic treatment with zero extras. No hand washing after all the drilling so powder mess all over your hands and arms. No lotion after your service is complete which I didnât realize was an extra. For cleanliness, I would rate this salon a 3, customer service 4, but quality of service was...
Read moreI was looking for a place that uses all-natural products, and a nail salon called âOrganic Nail Spaâ sounded like just the right fit. I typically get professional pedicures because I enjoy the relaxing, spa-like experience. However, the treatments I received as part of their Peppermint Pedicure appeared to be made with synthetic chemicals.
The scent of real peppermint is distinctâand I didnât notice anything remotely close to it during or after the service. My nail technician was very kind and did a good job, but unfortunately, the overall experience felt like false advertising. There was nothing âorganicâ about this place.
Growing up, one of my neighborsâwho worked in nail salonsâpassed away from cancer after years of exposure to toxic fumes and synthetic chemicals. This is exactly what I was trying to avoid.
If youâre seeking natural skincare treatments (like callus removal, exfoliation, etc.) and want to minimize exposure to synthetic ingredients, I would...
