If I could give zero stars, I would. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. I should have listened to other reviews about how impossible it is to cancel a membership here.
The so-called “gym manager” (who is now unreachable) signed me up for an initial 8-class pack over the phone. I never signed any agreement that included a 30-day notice requirement for cancellation (turned out, the manager signed it on my behalf electronically, without my consent). I specifically confirmed with her multiple times that I would not be enrolled in a recurring membership. After I finished my 8 classes, I reached out to make sure I wouldn’t be charged for anything else — only to be told I needed to give 30 days’ notice to cancel. When I explained what was agreed on during the call, they ignored me and just kept repeating their policy.
I wanted to stop attending due to personal health issues, which — according to their own policy — is supposed to qualify for immediate cancellation without notice. I explained this clearly. What did they do? They GHOSTED me. NO REPLY. I even followed up by email. NOTHING.
Do NOT waste your money here. I’ve had memberships with many gyms and studios, and this is hands down the most dishonest, money-hungry place with the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. All they care about is your money. On top of that, their “boxing classes” are nothing special — you can learn the same stuff for free on YouTube.
Please read other reviews and stay away. Save your...
Read moreTOTAL RIP-OFF — their shady membership tricks lock you in without you realizing it, and good luck canceling when they stop responding. Worst gym experience ever.
EDIT (after they started demanding updates): From what I've experienced and observed about how they handle customer service, it's not great. It's clear that they care more about money and superficial Google review scores than actual customer experience.
My friend had a terrible time trying to get out of the membership loop they set up. They ignored her emails for a long time—then suddenly reached out the day after she left a Google review, saying, "it sometimes takes a few days to process everything." Well, if that's the case, why couldn’t you at least send a quick “no update yet” message in the meantime? They did eventually resolve the issue, but now they keep bothering her to update her review—and even asked her to get me to change mine.
Here's a message to them: None of Google’s review policies require someone to be a direct paying member. I attended Rumble classes via ClassPass multiple times, had direct experience with your gym, and every one of them was negative.
Your superficial, review-chasing approach is what’s holding you back. It’s not just preventing you from scaling—it’s also keeping you from becoming an authentic gym that truly values customer experience (assuming you even care about that). Good luck sustaining long-term growth with...
Read moreDO NOT go unless you want to have Terrible customer service.
This place is not like the signature studio in Palo Alto. It is managed solely, 100% listen to the local manager, with no customer support from HQ. All they want is your money.
No change room, No shower places, just 2 restrooms.
No greeting at front desk.
The cancellation process is definitely PAINFUL. I originally emailed the Rumble Boxing HQ’s customer service email address to cancel my membership, without knowing they had no access to my membership in Sunnyvale (as Sunnyvale is a franchised one, not managed by the main Rumble). In the end, my written cancellation request was not delivered to the Sunnyvale location as planned. This studio insisted that I need to pay 1 month extra (as they need 30-day notice) to cancel my future membership. I explained that this was the miscommunication inside their system, not directing my request to the correct studio. It is not my fault.
The DID NOT listen. They persistently challenged me, emphasizing the necessity to scroll to the bottom of promotional emails for contact details.
Throughout this process, communication was slow, and I found myself chasing responses. Despite expressing my dissatisfaction and willingness to cooperate, I felt compelled to pay an extra month's fee, including a late fee (waived in the end) that I...
