Town Center Park — Attraction in Sunnyvale

A nice, new park nestled away within a rapidly growing community! Even visiting before daybreak just after park opening hours, I felt safe taking an early morning walk and stretching while on break. For those interested, the playground equipment appeared to be safely maintained and very well-kept. Also adding to the feeling of safety is the fact that cameras are clearly visible, which at least helped me realize that should anything unfortunate occur during my early morning exercise, it would likely have been recorded. The design, setup, layout and perimeter of the park (as well as the surrounding municipal buildings) also made for a safer feel, as parking was within a “confined” area with one entrance and exit. This park is clean and inviting. The playground is covered if you have little ones that want to avoid direct sunlight while playing, this added feature is most helpful. There is a basketball court and tennis court and a large covered gazebo for eating. There is a trail that surrounds the park and many stations for fitness escapades alongside the course. I am not certain of the distance of the trail. The trail goes into the trees (treetop covered area) and outside as well. Relaxing place to go for a walk, with company or with out you still get to smell the green after a rainy day, take advantage this days, because the heat is coming soon. The walk around the park is little over half a mile, the is a a couple of basketball courts, tennis and a huge play ground for young kids, it has a hidden route full of trees you will be covered from the sun most of the time if you choose to walk that path.
