The office is located right next to Denny's and easy to get to. When we arrived around 5 PM to check in there were long lines but they got through the process pretty quick. We had purchased this week long stay from someone who owned a timeshare here. So after we checked in and they gave us our keys they sent us over to one of the several podiums to get our parking permits. This is when the timeshare pitch began. The saleslady was nice and offered us free breakfast to attend the sales presentation. I politely told her I do not want a time share and want to enjoy my vacation. At that point she kind of became cold and gave us our parking passes and then walked away. Once we got our parking passes we proceeded to follow the map provided at check in and easily found our condo which was a second floor 3 bedroom unit in building 237.

The unit was nice and recently renovated. It has granite countertops in the kitchens and all the bathrooms. The main unit had a nice living room with sleeper sofa, chair and loveseat. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking utensils, plates, bowls, silverware, glasses, etc. There is a full size stove and refrigerator. They also provide a toaster, coffee maker and electric can opener. There is also a washer and dryer in a small closet between the living room and kitchen. In the one bedroom there was 2 full beds, closet, dresser and TV. There is also a bathroom that connects to the hallway and this bedroom. I. The mater bedroom there was a king pillow top bed, night stands, chair, dresser and closet. There is also a huge jacuzzi tub surrounded by mirrors. The sink in located in the master bedroom separate from the bathroom. In the master bathroom there is a large stand up shower and toilet. There is a large balcony off the back of the condo with doors from both bedrooms. There are several chairs and lounge chairs on the balcony.

The third bedroom in this unit is actually a separate unit with a door that adjoins the 2 units, but both units have a separate exterior entrances as well. In this second unit there is a king size bed, sleeper sofa, table, dresser and closet. There is a kitchenette that has a hot plate and microwave with all the kitchen utensils you need. There is also a small dorm size fridge. There is a closet with a washer and dryer. There is a typical bathroom with a normal size tub/shower with a jacuzzi tub.

On site there is a putting green, indoor pool and breakfast area (there is a charge for breakfast) just as you come into the development. In the middle of the development there is a small kids pool, lazy river, hot tub and kids play area with water jets, water tree, bucket that dumps water on you and some built in water guns. There are plenty of lounge chairs and a few tables with umbrellas. Across the street is the main pool that at its deepest is 4.5 feet deep. There are some jetted areas to sit at. There is a large hot tub and a small 1 feet deep area for the kids. There are several tables and tons of lounge chairs at the pool. They also have a poolside grill that sells things like hamburgers, fries, nachos, drinks, ice cream and some other items. They accept cash or credit/debit cards at the grill.

They provide all your towels and linens for your stay and provide you with laundry detergent as well. Halfway through the week they drop a tote off at the front door with fresh towels, toilet paper, etc.

They also provide a free shuttle bus to the beach. They usually have 4 buses running back to back. They pick up at the resort bus stops on the hour and pick up at the beach on the half hour.

Beware they have people at the pool making the timeshare pitch while you are trying to enjoy yourself. Also on the Saturday we were due to leave by 10am and they were calling at 8 am trying to get us to attend the timeshare presentation. Also around 830 the doorbell was ringing and one of the housekeepers used their key to let themselves in while we were still asleep. When they closed the front door they didn't close it...

The way this place does business is rude, disruptive and decieving. Plantation resort is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Drove 14 hours and arrived early letting them know we were ready for our rooms. Due to the person who reserved the room wasn't available at the time we couldn't even ask for our room till 6 hours later (no fault to the resort there) but after all this time and after 2 hours past check in time we were told our rooms are still not ready.

We had received calls about getting a gift due to the room not being ready. To recieve the "gift" the head of my party would have to sit through a 90 minute presentation and then sit-down with a sales person and listen to them try to sell timeshares. I told the caller that the head of my party was still asleep and would call them if they were to change their mind. They then decided that was not an acceptable answer and called the other room where the head of my party was sleeping and woke them up. I could hear the conversation and they weren't taking no for an answer until the phone had to be slammed on them. We did not receive the gift due to not wanting to waste our vacation time listening to their sales pitch.

When checkout day came around staff came and knocked on the door and told us that it was checkout day and gave us certain instructions as to how to leave the place. After being delayed for check in they rushed us out for check out. Combining that and the fact that more than half of the rooms had been empty while we stayed there it baffles me how they did not have our reservations ready.

The air conditioner in the half suite that half of our party had was weak and left the room very humid. The sheets to the beds never fit correctly and constantly came undone. The shower/tub in the half suite would come off the wall if you weren't careful. The carpet at the door to get into the suite was coming up and nearly caused me to trip on it a few times.

They have too many units for the amount of pools on site. The "security" never payed any attention to who was driving into the resort. Half of the times we drove past the security booth no one was there.

Southern hospitality at its finest? Biggest joke of a slogan I've ever heard of. Another reviewer mentioned it should be called "Northern hospitality at its finest" but I will say up North where people are more rude you will not find a hotel or resort that charges prices like this place and treat you this way. Not only did we have issues with the main office and facilities not working properly, but certain staff had mentioned that they hear of these issues all the time. Other guests mentioned that they had similar issues as well. One group in particular had been waiting over 2 hours for their reservations to be ready. That group had some elderly and some infants as well, without any lobby or place for the resort to let them sit and relax.

I absolutely would not recommend this place to anyone. Even the locals had some nasty things to say...

Don't know where to begin. We are Hilton Grand Vacation owners and booked here through RCI. Every trip we've ever had through Hilton was great; however, Plantation Resort just broke the mold. First, we were lied to at check-in by the staff. We were told that a merger has taken place by Wyndam and Hilton, which required us to go to a meeting to learn about how our points would or could be used at Wyndam properties. A complete lie! We got to the meeting and the salesman acted as if he had no idea what we were talking about, but we weren't alone. Several others had been told the exact same lie.

They have several pools here. One specicallly is a small secluded splash pad for toddlers and young children. We were told there would always be an attendant on duty, we haven't seen the first attendant or security guard on post. Haven't been checked once while entrering the resort. ANYONE CAN DRIVE IN AND USE ANY FACILITY! While at the splash pad with my 3 year old and a few other couples with their toddlers, a hurd of unsupervised teenagers came running through acting a fool. They were screaming, cussing, full on sprinting around where children were sitting and playing in 1ft of water. Immediately, all the parents had to grab their kids and exit the pool. Almost twenty minutes went by before they left to go terrorize the unattended pool across the street.

Lastly, I'm in grad school and have schoolwork to do throughout the week. Suspiciously enough, the basic-free wifi went out on day three for most of our devices. We called and asked if there was any issue? We were told, "oh yes, we know about it and have someone working on it." The next day comes, still no internet. We stream movies for the kids, post our vacation pictures on social media, and do schoolwork.

We call again.

This time, we're told that a storm in the Bahamas is the reason for the outage. We immediatly call them on their bullcrap. There's no way. Its blue skys and sunny here. All stores and attractions are up and running. The employee immediately gets defensive and hangs up on us. I have no choice but to purchase the uber-high speed internet through the resort's vender, and what do you know? The internet works great. I will never stay here ever again. I will go out of my way to inform people of this...
