Where to start really.. I’ve been shopping here off and on for years. A couple things stand out to me every time I’m in. First, the selection is outstanding, from instruments and effects to supporting equipment, and amplifiers. Second, and probably the most important, the staff is knowledgeable, approachable and friendly, seriously. I’ve spent time as a touring musician in my earlier years, and learned pretty quickly how important it is to have a place like this in your community. Last year I had a guitar reworked and repaired, and honestly its better now than when I bought it new, no exaggeration. The setup was clean and incredibly accurate-(stuff I get way too picky about lol). The technician (soooo bad with names) was extremely cool, and I learned a ton about an instrument I’ve spent a lifetime playing. Today, I came in with my family to look at a pedal I was super curious about. Aaron went way above and beyond to help me learn about it. From setting up the amp and guitar to match my in home setup, to reviewing the capacity of the device. Very relaxed environment, folks that truly care about their community and the musicians in it, what ever you...
Read moreTown Center Music is a place that goes above and beyond ! I took mu bass because I was having trouble with the connection. Fender had this place listed as a repair shop. I'm an hour away. So I drove not knowing what to expect. The person there ( I forgot his name ) told me that it would take a few weeks before Fender approved or that sometimes it takes a while. So he got to working on it. He took the piece apart , found the problem and soldered the part right there! I had no appointment , no nothing. He told me to have a 1/2 inch screwdriver on had for regular maintenance that i could do myself. The best part: No charge! I bought a bass cable ( it was the least I could do) and wrote this review. I believe in real reviews. Always read them before I do business somewhere and this is real. I trust this shop to work on expensive gear and they are very honest. I hope I don't have to take my instruments but if I do this is where I would take it. Not like your regular big box music stores where no one says hi or you are just a number. Thank you Town Center Music and all your team ! I forgot to write this sooner but here it is....
Read moreSince 1961, I've been playing and collecting guitars as an avocational musician. So I know what I do NOT know about guitars. In 2019 I had my 2000 Les Paul Special taken apart so I could create my dream guitar (gave the slab body ergonomic carves, then painted it vintage "TV Yellow"). But I'm pretty lo-tech so I needed a guitar tech to reassemble it. My friend Bill Hart (The Bill Hart International Jazz Fusion Band) recommended Town Center Music and I was blown away by their expertise and customer service. The owner, Aaron, welcomed me in a way that inspired my trust. John Michael turned out to be, IMHO, a Master Guitar Tech. He made recommendations for cap, pot, switch, and wiring upgrades that added breadth and nuance to the tone. Then he set it all up with perfect-for-me action... just through our discussions, John Michael understood my style of playing! Other staff such as Dustin were helpful along the way and I apologize for leaving out anyone's name here. Thank you, each of you! I'd recommend Town Center Music without reservation, to my closest relatives and friends... most of whom are pretty...
