Lee Nails — Attraction in Swatara Township

I decided to visit Lee Nails with a group after great reviews for their pedicures and took the visit a step further and got a full set of acrylics. That said, thee only reason they are getting 2 stars is the massage chair is wonderful!

The person that did my pedicure left me sitting there of a long time. I went with a groups of 4 and was the 1st one in the seat. Two others in my group got simple services but my daughter and I got the same service. Remember I said I was the 1st one seated and I was also the last one out. (Lost star #1)

Being that I haven’t had a full set in years I decided, although the pedicure took forever I would treat myself. I told them what I wanted but them being the professionals I decided to see how they would treat my nails (to determine if I would come back and what I need to be aware of).

Well let me tell you, my cuticles were uneven from the start - And I wondered if they were going to do anything about that before they started applying acrylic. Did they - NO. Did they asked me if I wanted my cuticles done-NO (Lost star #2)

After I was fitted for the nail size, it took them forever to actually get the glue stick to my nail. Then they just started laying acrylic. They did not push my cuticles back in order to shape the nail properly. And I left their store with very thick acrylic nails that look like they could be press ons. Unfortunately a few days later the glued nails started to lift off my nail and ask the acrylic started to grow out, you could see how bulky they laid their acrylic on my nails.

Basically because of how the nails were glued to my nails and didn’t stick and the pockets from them not doing anything with my cuticles - in order to fix the problems it requires me to start over with in order to maintain an acrylic set of nails. (Lost star #3)

Again I was testing them to see what kind of service I would get. Yes I could have complained that day but that was not my intention. I wanted to see if I was going to be treated like a valued customer and not a stereotype.

Unfortunately for them I could have been a regular customer but as the days have passed and I evaluate the service I received versus what I expected, I’ll be shopping for a new...

I went in for a full set after giving my nails a small break. The wait was not long at all and the gentleman that greeted me was very pleasant.

Let’s keep in mind, I’ve been to this salon multiple times in the past and was extremely pleased with the service and outcome of my nails.

However, this day in particular just wasn’t it!! I sat at table 12 and was serviced by a young lady whom had another customer soaking in the pedicure chair(red flag) long story short I showed an example of what I wanted (simple tapered square nails with colored French tip). The woman did not use enough acrylic,nor did she give the shape I asked for(xtra charge for shape) I politely say something and she just ignores me and acts as if she didn’t understand.

She did not buff or shape my nails with the drill bit, she also failed to mention that there’s a discount offered when paying cash in which I figured out on my own. Fast forward a week and a half my whole left hand popped off which has never happened to my nails ever and I have so many cracks in the acrylic it’s ridiculous.

I would encourage you as a new consumer to seek services elsewhere as many of the workers were too focused on their “regulars”.

The worst part of it all is, as a consumer we spend so much money with these family owned nail salons and anytime they make a mistake they NEVER FIX THEM OR AT LEAST COMPENSATE IN some type of way to show your service is appreciated and they value the work that they do they always take your money and send you home unsatisfied. Nope im done with this place, I was a loyal customer not anymore! I asked for this (image 1) and got this (image 2). Like what! maybe if i asked for barbie hot pink nails I wouldnt be as mad. I told the girl there I wanted this color and shape and she showed me the color on her nail and It looked like a light pink and I was like yep this is fine, so then the guy took over and started doing my nails the shape Is off as you can see that is not what coffin nails look like, anyways once he got to the color he had it under bright light and I was on my phone so I didnt notice but like when he went to my other hand I looked at the one he just did and I told him uhh this is alot pinker than what I asked for and he said "oh oh"'.... like what no not oh oh you stop right there and ask if I want it changed! my fault too for not stopping him but sorry that I dont want to cause a scene! I went home and repainted them with my own nail polish so I dont look like a 5 year old at work with hot pink glittery nails! BOTTOM LINE: Do not go here, service sucks, nails are meh the shape is messed, Ive been cut a few times, OVERPRICED they will charge you for stupid things like changing the nail shape like what !
