I am so done with this place. I've been to ikeas in turkey and Germany and I've never seen so much bs like here. It started with me buying a kitchen there. Tried to get help since I only used to work with cm and not inches it was very hard for me to understand everything and I've been telling them that exactly like that. Once the kitchen department guys heard that I'm not about to spend 10000 dollars the whole thing became a mess. Trying to keep the cost as low as possible and trying to get the help I needed to have a kitchen I can live with after just a total disaster. None of my questions were answered properly, the people who were helping me out been rude and didn't actually want to help anyway. After 6 hours I finally purchased a kitchen. By the day of delivery I only got half of it. So I've been trying to call and try to find out what's going on. Nobody ever answered or got back to me. Two days later still nothing. No answer. I got a second delivery and still stuff missing. I live an hour away from that place. So me not having a car makes it very hard to get there. So I tried to call. After two weeks of calling and me now being without a kitchen for a total of three weeks I did make my way over there. A guy named Alex helped me out getting the last pieces but me telling them the whole story all them missed again to check on the whole order to see what exactly happened. Now all together 4 weeks later while putting the kitchen together we realized that the upper cabinets where too long. Exactly what I've been trying to prevent the whole time when I first got there. Again tried to call and this time some rude lady answered the phone. Me being completely out of it at this point she didn't try to help like none of these so called ikea employees. You guys really need to check on the quality of the people working at this place. Fact is never again will I do any business with ikea in any country. Period! Disgusting what happened to me and what I've been dealing with. Just a lot of money lost and on top of that the stress level has been a thousand ever since! And on top of it I'm still missing one cabinet!!!! I...
Read moreI am writing to provide feedback regarding my recent experience at Ikea, specifically relating to an employee named Jose (new employee in returns). I encountered this employee during my return a few days prior and found him to be polite. However, my experience on the evening of September 11th at 8:50 PM was less than satisfactory.
While trying to load a heavy box into my car, I realized I needed assistance after several unsuccessful attempts. The parking garage was completely empty at that time. I approached the aforementioned employee and asked, “Excuse me, can you please help me lift a box into my car?” Unfortunately, he did not make eye contact and responded, “I’m sorry, I’m off the clock,” while continuing to look at his phone.
I acknowledged his situation and appealed for his help, explaining that the box was quite heavy. However, he continued to disregard my request, putting his ID away and reiterating that he was off the clock before walking awayto his Honda. In my attempts to lift the box, I injured my wrist.
Shortly after, a young employee named Carlos was walking by. When I asked for help, he immediately agreed and assisted me in loading the box into my car.
This incident was disappointing in contrast to my previous positive experiences with Ikea employees, who have always been helpful and professional. While I understand the challenges of working and the desire to leave at the end of a shift, I believe that kindness and a willingness to assist others should be a priority, especially in situations where help is kindly requested.
I intend to reach out to Ikea management to express my appreciation for Carlos’s excellent customer service, and I believe he deserves recognition for his willingness to help. Additionally, I would like to discuss the conduct of the other employee, as I feel it is important that all staff members embody the values of support...
Read moreI normally go to the IKEA in Sunrise but now that they opened up an IKEA in Miami it was actually closer to where I live than the Sunrise location. IKEA sent me a promotion by mail to try out a free birthday meal and a discount for my birthday so I figured it was a good opportunity to come and check out the new IKEA Miami location, stock up on those delicious $2.99 IKEA branded Apple Cider bottles, pick up the new 2019 magazine, and look at some of the new display cases that they have displayed in the store.
This location has 2 cafeterias for some reason, one downstairs that sells a limited amount of food like pizzas, hot dogs, ice cream, sodas, water, and juice. The second cafeteria which is larger is upstairs with a larger selection of food and the free birthday meal ticket is redeemed at the cafeteria upstairs. The staff at both cafeterias and the cashier at the checkout were all very friendly and helpful. The food at the upstairs cafeteria was better than the food in the downstairs cafeteria, the food downstairs looked like microwaved pizza and hot dogs while the food upstairs actually looked like it was cooked and prepared by someone.
I love how now there are more display case options than the standard Detolf cabinets but IKEA still has alot of catching up to do to match the quality of the display cases that they sell in Japan in stores like AmiAmi. I would still rather have one of the new cabinets like the IKEA Malsjo or the IKEA Syvde over the IKEA Detolf though but maybe the IKEA Billy bookcases with the glass doors is a better and more economical option for people with a large amount of items that they want to display and...
