I recently stayed this hote for a short getaway. I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing customer service I had even before I stepped foot into the hotel with messages back-and-forth about early check in and extended time in the room, due to my late flight. I was greeted with a very friendly guy who was young and he was so amazing. My plane arrived early and he allowed me to check in three hours early at no charge. Then he offered me complementary water, which is rare in hotels these days. The Marriott also allowed me to stay in my room until 4 PM because I had a late night flight. They couldn’t allow any longer without making me pay for a whole night stay but they prorated it for me and I felt the price was fair. While I was there, everyone was over the top friendly. Everyone had smiles and pleasantries, and everyone engaged well. As much as hotels cost (though this was actually reasonable) customer service is often poor. I am pleased to say that they hit every mark at this hotel with customer service. The only complaint I could find is there was some rust in the bathroom by the tub and the floor and the room was a little outdated, but that happens. In spite of that the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and it was a quiet area. The customer service was second to none. I would definitely stay here again just because of how amazing the customer service was. In addition, it’s located right next to one of the big malls and there are a lot of food options, drink options and options for shopping close by. The location is about 25 minutes from the downtown area which for some will be a deterrent but for me, it was perfect. I just easily lifted or Ubered downtown and it was no different than Uber in any other city. I appreciated their detail to my needs ,remembering my needs from our messages and the fact that they constantly asked me if I needed something when they saw me. I don’t usually have housekeeping coming in my room often because I like to sleep late but whenever I came out of my room, I was always asked if there was something I needed and if I needed something it was brought to my room promptly. it’s hard to give hotels these kind of praises these days, so I made a special effort to make sure I gave this review. Thank you guys for making my late Februarystay in...
Read moreMy family and I were traveling to the Port of Miami in order to board a cruise ship and decided to stay in Miami the night before so that we could be rested prior to our Thanksgiving vacation and I booked our room for the one night through the Marriott website using some of my available points. There were five of us traveling together so when the option appeared to choose the number of people that would be staying in the room, I chose 5. When I arrived at the hotel, I reminded the young lady checking me in that there were 5 of us in the room even though my room had already been assigned and she made a comment that not all rooms had a pull out couch. When we arrived at the room, it only had two queen beds in it so I called down to the front desk. I was told by the same individual that they don't have any idea which rooms are set up to accommodate five people because the rooms are assigned automatically when the reservations are made. I asked for a roll away and was told that they could not put one in the room because it was considered a fire code violation. I then asked to speak with a manager and was told that there were no managers available to speak with because they were all off for the weekend but was placed on the phone with the most senior person on site who gave me the same information as the first person. No one could understand that I had to have the extra bed so that no one had to sleep on the floor and so I attempted to contact someone at customer service. When I was on hold with customer service, a young man called up to the room to let us know that he spoke with his manager and they were going to place a roll away in the room (I guess this was regardless of the fire code). After the roll away was delivered, we had to call down for additional towels since there were only three in the room. By the time all of this was done it was around 10:30 in the evening. I will not go back to this particular Marriott nor will I recommend...
Read moreSpent a 4 nights in mid August and had an overall pleasant stay. The main draw I guess of the hotel is its proximity to the mall, 2 minutes walk from the lobby to entrance 4 if so much. The hotel isn’t the newest and things like carpets in room carpets feel dated. But space in the room itself is maximized by the design, loved that there is a table you call pull out from beneath the desk, the bathroom is large and the bed very comfortable. The room comes with a mini chiller, microwave and coffee maker. I appreciated the cleanliness of the rooms and cleaning is done daily it would appear. Also, even though in the direct flight path of the airport, I can’t say I was ever disturbed by the sound of planes in the room. What really elevates this hotel is the service! All staff in interacted with were warm and helpful. I made a request at the front desk on the way up to my room and by the time I got up there someone was already there to attend to it. Amenities wise, there is a very small cafe in the lobby that does limited selections, only had breakfast there one day and coffee a couple times and it was fine. There is an entire food court and multiple restaurants in the mall. However there is nothing in walking distance on the outside, so if it is before opening hours or you are not feeling for the offerings you will have to use delivery (or drive). We made good use of the pool, usually had it to ourselves and it was clean. I would stay here again and I would recommend it if you are there to shop and do not have a car to drive around, because convenience and great service are the key points...
