IKEA Restaurant — Restaurant in Sweetwater

We haven't been to an IKEA since covid started.The place was almost empty when we arrived. We started saying let's some coffee and expected to pull up the IKEA membership on my phone. We spoke with a gentleman the was a cashier - his name is Carlos- he directed us to everything and took care when we couldn't get the phone to produce the IKEA account data. He walked us through what's there and we got coffee but we also got a meal of the swedish meatballs and veggies. The meatballs are special but the veggies for us were okay but a little overcooked. The mashed potatoes were good. We tried a couple desserts and a small side salad. They only have Italian dressing for the salad. It was a quiet time for us and we enjoyed the day walking through the store and eating in the bright clean dining area. Also the restroom was very clean when we used them. While leaving at 4:30 we saw a large number of people entering.we will go back. But next time I'm going to eat salmon, not...

I have to admit that I was expecting more from what everyone has told me... Please don;t get me wrong, the food is not bad, the chicken tenders are really good, but when it came to the Swedish meat balls plate I was a little disappointed. I think it was the vegetables, they were not warm like they should have; but the mashed potatoes were good. The price of the special in unbeatable and as for the rest of the food, the price is good and if you are close to an Ikea you can have a quick lunch and even some shopping. If you are on a family trip to Ikea and have babies, bring your baby food and bottles, they have a microwave and bottle warmer for your convenience, which I think is great. The food at this IKEA food court was really disappointing.

Compared to other IKEAs I have been, the meal here was low quality and overpriced. First of all, there were few plates available in the display, and not all of them had prices. The cheesecake price was not displayed in the case so I assumed it was the same price as the other desserts but when I got to the register it was about double the price. The cheesecake was also way too sweet. It just tastes like a block of sugar. The salsa plate was also disappointing. The rice, beans, and corn all felt dry as if they were not cooked properly. The taste was also just average. The total price came out to around $18 which is more than comparable fast food...
