BEWARE OF THIS SCAM. If I could give 0 stars I would. This has been by long and far the WORST experience ever with any kind of service I've experienced. Recently my wife went to apply for this school and was guided by advisor Angelique, whose personality is more fake than a counterfeit handbag. She is the queen of miscommunication and deception. She will present herself as if she cares so much about the person and swear up and down that she'll "hold your hand" every step of the way and will help you no matter what. This is true up until after you agree to attend. After you accept to do business with this school she will IGNORE you and completely forget you exist. She failed to explain that classes at this school don't have flexibility with scheduling, and they pretty much throw you in courses regardless of what availability you have in your personal life. She claimed that my wife had told her that she wasn't going to be working because she was pregnant, when what she stated was that she was looking for work to save money for our upcoming baby. As for her misunderstanding, my pregnant wife now has to pay a $4,000 bill because she had to withdraw from classes after only doing ONE course, because the class in M-F slapped in the middle of the afternoon at which time pretty much every adult is working. Of course in trying to dispute this with Angelique, she completely ignored my wife day in and day out after she swore up and down she'd be calling her first thing the following Monday. After an entire week of her ignoring messages and phone calls, we decided to show up and the look on her face was priceless. Froze as if she'd seen a ghost. In terms of the ENTIRE financial aid department, not a single one of them has the SLIGHTEST CLUE what they were talking about. It was mesmerizing to see such a small group of people who work in the same department all give a different answer for the same situation. The only person here who seemed to have half of a clue as to what they were doing was a guy named Julio. He was at least straight forward with things and let us know how it would be with classes and monetary decisions (of course, after my wife had already been screwed by terrible advising.) After all the discourse trying to figure out what we can do, we were shown the wonderful bill of $4,000 for their lack of communication and professionalism. We were told to speak to someone named Ruben Lugo who said he'd help us, understanding our life and financial situation. We have been trying to communicate with him via e-mail for about a month now, and all we ever get is an automatic email saying he's out on PTO. Regardless of that, I can only hope from the sincerity that he spoke to us with, that he can help us out, because he did seem like someone who wanted to fix this situation that we were put in. At the end of this all, if you happen to want to sign up for this school for whatever reason and are met with Angelique, do yourself a favor and just turn around and leave. She should not be allowed to advise another...
Read moreIf i could give 0 stars to this school, I WOULD!! My classmate was FORCED to do his TEAS exam that includes ANATOMY material before even taking anatomy from his counselor ( CARLOTTA) who got fired/ or left before he could’ve said anything. HE FAILED HIS 3 EXAMS DUE TO NOT HAVING PROPER KNOWLEDGE OF ANATOMY OF COURSE!! leading him to no longer be accepted into the Nursing program which isn’t a problem because quite frankly, in my opinion, he dodged a bullet. These people rush you into taking this test without any time anticipation & threaten you with not being able to get into the program if you don’t take it. Deans and Advisors WILL NOT help you and will not take into consideration that their staff is ruining students opportunities. Dean sibila is quite literally the perfect person to ruin your expectations to ever become a nurse. she will tell you to your face that you are NOT capable and put a ton of requirements to meet the nursing programs standards. fast forward, he got a call a few weeks ago from Keiser telling him he was able to take the teas once again AFTER waiting a whole year for another opportunity, only to tell him he has to write a letter of forgiveness to be able to retake the test when he did that LAST year and was DENIED A 4th opportunity. Of course, they later called and told him there was a chance he wasn’t going to be able to retake it unless it was approved.
My personal counselor, carolina, failed to tell me 2 weeks before the deadline of all nursing program requirements, that i was required to write a letter of “intent” basically writing down the same thing you will talk about in your nursing interview. when i addressed the fact that there was rarely any time to do this being in an anatomy class that took up 24 hours of my day studying, and explained to her that there are other people who may not know about this new requirement , she stated that the nursing student applicants were going to “find out eventually”.
Honestly, the only reason i even stayed at this school for as long as i did was thanks to Dr.Rivera who is always giving students the best advice and help and truly cares for them & of course, Dr.Espaillat that knows who I am and knows who my classmate is and truly cares about her students and has a true passion for teaching future nurses, anatomy. These 2 professors were the absolute highlight of my 7 months at Keiser, unfortunately, they aren’t the ones teaching every class, which leads everyone out the door and to another school.
Before considering this school, Know that you may or may not have to give $15,000 upfront to even be eligible to enter. Also, take into consideration looking for other schools. Luckily, anyone who majors in psychology will have the pleasure of having Dr. Rivera all day long always. Regardless, don’t go here...
Read moreIf I could give this school ZERO stars I would. The staff at Doral campus is not only unprofessional but uneducated. You'd think for all of the money you pay they would care for their students... or at least pretend like they do. I have had several issues with the financial aid department and the bursars office. Every time I go or I call I am given all sorts of different information. One person says one thing and the other says something else and in the end the information given to me is wrong!! Truly horrifying. I went in to meet with Raquel (financial aid department) on March 7th because Ruben called out sick. I was told by Raquel I was going to get about $900 back from my financial aid within 2-3 weeks and was reassured by her it would be deposited into my bank account. Today, April 10th, I called to follow up with the money I was suppose to get back and guess what?! IT WAS ALL A LIE!! A month later, after I called extremely confused and upset, is when Raquel decided to finally specify that those $900 were part of a loan and that I would not receive any money. A WHOLE MONTH LATER!!! Thank God I took it upon myself to call her because she didn't even remember who I was or what we spoke about. How can someone forget to specify such important information?!?!?!?!?! LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM AND WORK ETHIC. This is not the first incident I have had with this department it is about the fourth. It is scary to know that such uneducated and unprofessional people are handling the students money, loans, payments, etc... After two years of consecutive problems, confused employees, lack of information, and lies I have finally decided to withdraw from Keiser University. THIS SCHOOL ONLY CARES ABOUT YOUR MONEY!!!!!! For all my fellow students, please do not waste your time or your money on this school. I will make sure to inform my friends, loved ones, and fellow peers the horrifying truth about Keiser University. IT IS ALL A SCAM! Don't make the same mistake I made and stick to Miami-Dade College or FIU. Extremely disgusted with this school and the little it has to offer! Please improve your work ethic, standards, employees, and information given to students in order to insure positive feedback from your students and your community! TRULY A TERRIBLE TWO YEARS...
