Vessel Vintage Collective — Attraction in Tacoma

I bought a pole lamp and it blew up within a month. I'm so disappointed in their customer service.When I called for assistance I was instantly told "all sales are final". I never breathed a word about a return or compensation. I didn't call for that! I would have been satisfied if they offered to take a look at it, had a possible solution, or even took the tiniest bit of responsibility. Instead, I was told "Sorry, that's the way antique stores work". This business clearly prides itself on their design choices and quality which is why we uncharacteristically treated ourselves to this gorgeous, "fully-refurbished", full-priced item. Yes, it lit up in the store. That's why I expected light from it for more than a few weeks. At least there is silver lining. When the lamp was inspected we learned that the mechanics were shockingly bad and we were lucky it didn't burn the house down. I get some comfort in knowing we may have saved some other buyer...

This is truly one of the best vintage stores I’ve ever been to. The space is absolutely pristine and filled with beautifully curated pieces that reflect the eye of a true tastemaker. Mary, the owner, is incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about every item in the store. Her enthusiasm is contagious and it was amazing to learn that they refurbish much of the furniture themselves. Everything looks brand new, yet retains that perfect vintage charm. Vessel is the bomb. I don't know how it started, but my partner and I started going to Tacoma on special occasions, and Vessel is the first place we visit. We've bought a few (7?) things from them, and for larger things they're extremely easy to arrange pickups/dropoffs with. Their stuff is super well curated and everything is refinished if necessary to bring it up to great shape. It's hard to find a shop that has great stuff, great attitude, and is easy to work with, but Vessel is it! We will be back as soon as can be! Oh - and their Instagram is so...
