This Market used to be a lot bigger! I was surprised at how small it has gotten since my last visit about 5 years ago. Sadly, there didn't seem to be a lot of customers on the day I went.
The different produce stands have different prices on the same thing so they don't seem too concerned about matching each other's prices, so be sure to check around. I realized after I purchased some Rainier cherries that I overpaid compared to the next stand as much as $0.75 a pound difference.
The main Thoroghfare is wide and good for strollers and wheelchairs. And not on a slope.

With that said, I purchased the most amazing bouquet that Lasted 9 days! I also found my favorite local farm Jam that I wanted and so sourdough bread to go with it at $10.00 a loaf the flowers were $20. The jam was $6.00. Downtown people were buying their lunch from various vendors standing in groups chit-chatting. I didn't see any children. Read moreI like this farmers market. Beautiful flowers, lots of produce, food trucks, and some other random things. You can tell a lot of people are on their lunch break since it's in the middle of businesses and the day and time is the worst of all the farmers markets in Tacoma. Thursday's from 10 am to 3pm??? So if your a stay at home parent, unemployed, on vacation, work weird hours, or you work downtown Tacoma and can come on your lunch it's worth checking out.
