Although the planetarium was closed, I had one of the best times I've had in a long time. And I was by myself. I've always walked by here without looking in. I've driven by, and just wondered also. There was a person this day who provoke me to go in. She said she was into science and that sparked my scientific background itch. I'm not the biggest astronomer, but somehow I realized i needed to see inside. They have a nice little snack shop and the smell of popcorn was driving me insane. Yummy. However, I walked around instead of eating and saw a store store where you can buy many different things related to space..Yes, there was much more than that. They had small models of the moon landing and also astronaut suits and much more The planetarium itself was being renovated or worked on. But I snuck a peek inside and it looked amazing.. I know, because I've been to two othe planetariums in my lifetime. It's very clean there ( bathrooms included). In that respect I would give them a 9 and 1/2 out of 10. I would recommend this place to anyone. I will go back and probably go again with someone that really enjoys science or having fun. Check this place out/ Call ahead just to make sure the planetarium is open and book a trip there. See you in space my friends. See you on the Oort belt. To infinity and beyond. LOL

I am so impressed at how friendly the staff was! Everyone was so inviting and it felt as though they were happy you were there. I experienced the IMAX when I went to see Oppenheimer. I was so impressed by the theater! The seats are a faux leather they are not lean back but they were comfortable with adjustable arm rests. There concessions had Dippin Dots! I have not had Dippin Dots since I was younger and I absolutely had to get some when I was there. The prices were reasonable. The ticket price for a non-student was $12. I parked in the covered parking garage and walked up the stairs to get to the entrance to the challenger learning center. There is an elevator available for use as well from the parking lot to the top level.

This is a great place with multiple museums related to space science and astronomy, entertainment corridor for meetings, assembly, learning opportunities, imax movie studios, light refreshments, adjacent to this place is huge parking and big restaurants too. Nearby this place there is main public library of the district. Our Sunday visit was calm and peaceful around the busy business hub of the area. Must explore this!

So i am giving this 3 stars because the theatre is absolutely incredible and i enjoyed watching the movie a lot. The concession stand employees however, i did not enjoy them. There was one particular guy who not only had a really nasty attitude towards me and my boyfriend, but everyone else it seemed. You could tell he did NOT want to be there. So i see them talking about some pizza and there was pizza in a small oven and they were talking to someone asking them if they wanted their pizza cooked a certain way and all that. Well i decided i wanted some pizza also so i went up to the guy and said “do you sell the pizza in slices?” and he gives me the most horrible and disgusted look and says “um we don’t sell pizza here.” So not only was i kind of mad that there was no pizza and i must have misunderstood, but the guy was a total jerk and i just looked at him and said “never mind then” and walked off. Totally embarrassing but the movie fixed my attitude so i’m giving this place 3 stars...also their other stuff there is...

Im a regular visitor to the challenger learning center, usually for Imax, but on 9/16/18 I took my grandmother to the aurora show at the digital dome. We were the only 2 people there. Randall played the show as if it was a full room. After the show Randall told us that there were no other people for the next show so we were slow to get up and my grandmother asked him a question about the constellations that were displayed on the dome after the aurora show. Randall didn't rush us out and my grandmother ask him several more questions. He was excellent! Even went so far as to show us where the stars would have been on our birthdays 2000 years ago. The challenger learning center is fun and educational, especially with people like Randall working there. Get your tickets and support this place. You'll be glad you did. ...
