My personal favorite coffee shop in Tallahassee. I frequent other ones more accessible in the area, but La Florida is my favorite if I have to time to get there. Saying that, if you work or live downtown, it's perfect. If you live in the surrounding area, it's more of a hassle to get here most days during the week.
The coffee is great here, the pastries are great, the staff is great. I haven't made it for a happy hour or taco night, but keep planning on getting there. I enjoy just sitting in this coffee shop and drinking my coffee because its comfortable and plenty of seating.

I went to this shop this morning, only to be ignored by 2 of the workers, a blonde and a darker colored hair female. I stood there waiting to be greeted by the blonde hair girl and she made her business to not even look my way or if I needed or wanted anything. I said so you are just to ignore me this chick and her coworker just smirked. Read moreI remember watching the ribbon-cutting ceremony for La Florida as I left work downtown one day. This place has been a family favorite ever since...especially when there is an event happening at Kleman Plaza. You can enjoy a coffee or glass of wine on the patio while the kids walk around. Today was no exception during the 3rd Annual History Festival. Enjoyed a Lavender Honey Latte and Veggie Quiche. Previously we've enjoyed some Spanish wine and a charcuterie board before setting off on a self-guided downtown art walk.
