SheiKra and Cheetah Hunt are the crowd pleasing and less intense thrill rides of the park, with sharp drops and very pretty track but not as many loops. But if you're looking for a somewhat more old school thrill that caters to roller coaster enthusiasts and adventure seekers, look no further than Kumba. Kumba is as intense as steel looping coasters get with seven inversions all back to back. With a lush rainforest setting and the loud roaring track, the sense of speed is absolutely there. Kumba gets faster as it goes through its layout. The first drop and two loops are fairly intense, but you fly through the zero-g roll in a way that makes you float, and the cobra roll is very whippy, and is taken at terrifying speed. The g-forces on Kumba are sustained and powerful, the pacing is unrelenting, and the line is never long. Kumba remains one of the strongest coasters in the park. Incredibly forceful and immaculately paced.

Kumba is everything you could ever want out of a roller coaster and then some: it's visually stunning, intense, unique, and smooth. The line moves fast especially when it's running all 3-trains, it's a people eater. Front row gives the best view, back row is full of whip as you get yanked through the course. This ended up being my favorite on my visit. I would get off and get right back in line as it's extremely re-rideable. For a coaster built nearly two decades ago, it's glass-smooth with the exception of the interlocking corkscrews.

Named for the distant roar of the king of the jungle, see why this legendary roller coaster still reigns on so many lists of favorites. After the thrill of an initial 135 foot drop, you will plunge into a diving loop, feel a full 3 seconds of absolute weightlessness while spiraling 360 degrees!

Touting one of the world's largest vertical loops, enthusiasts have consistently voted Kumba®, one of the world's best roller coasters! It is said that if you can hear the roar of a lion in the distance, you have crossed into his territory. The natives call this roar the Kumba, and you'll feel his breath on the back of your neck from the moment you step aboard the mighty roller coaster that...

Phenomenal ride, this was my first multi looper and “big ride” although I’ve ridden twisted colossus before . The high positive G’s are bone crushing. My favorite row was the front, there is no rattle and the headache really depends on your tolerance. Don’t ride more than 3 times in a row unless you’re a psychopath and enjoy your head spinning for hours. I rode 3 times in a row and oh gosh you feel horrible. Other than that, the ride is perfect, no line, nice operators, fast speed, visually stunning, and not to mention the roar! Definitely a must ride at the park. For one of the earlier b&m’s this...
