On my Family's Recent Visit Firstly when we were checking in the lobby REEKED of chemicals , so bad it was causing sickness and nausea Now Jennifer , who couldnt understand a simple name when my mom was checking us in. Then chose to walk away to deal with another customer and ended up berating them for wasting time. Returning back to my mom, she refused mom’s offer of confirmation # /identification. Jenifer finally found it and said that we had a total , mom questioned this since sign said a deposit for the room was required.Jennifer then said that no our total was 124.45 NOTHING MORE as mom was paying she asked for 3 keys Jennifer blatantly ignored us. when we asked where our room was and where to park ,she responded with a handwave and said over there. We got this text saying "Welcome to La Quinta Inns & Suites Tampa Near Busch Gardens! If there is anything we can do to help you settle in, simply reply to this message. We hope you enjoy your stay!" Well upon exploring the room we find we only have 2 towels ...for a 4 person visit , so we text said number and ask for more towels so common sense is that we should receive our towels soon. Well hours later we still had not received our towels So i go in to the lobby and ask Jennifer if housekeeping has any towels , she says yes , i say then can i get some or can she send some to our room she says they dont do housekeeping , and i realise im getting nowhere so i walk back. Well my mom goes in , well jennifer says she has to wait until morning for the manager she has no towels .mom then retorts questioning the text n her request earlier. Jennifer says they don’t send text .mom pulled text . Jennifer now changes to it was sent before her start time of 3pm. Mom replied I checked in with you. Now can you please get my family towels Jennifer tried to give her the runaround , you need to wait until morning for a manger mom then asked to get the manger. Jennifer then scurried away texting on her phone , when she returned she said again that she would have to wait until morning ,well mom then said she wanted to speak with said manager. Jennifer then scurried back off for minutes on end from back room to side hallway, she did this several times over the next several minutes. While waiting on Jennifer to return with manger . my mom noticed suspicious packs of cookies at their market with No Name ,No Labels or Expiration Dates mom went to walk back to the counter and Jennifer Berated her and said she needed to be patient and calm down that she was getting her towels before scurrying off again , despite mom not saying anything or ever having an upset tone. Jenifer disappears again but this time walked back in with our towels and mom thanked her and left . All that work n just for shower to have no pressure, n hard to control temperature . Check out with Assistance Manger Delphine mom not noticing she was who she was taking a picture of QRcode when Delphine asks if everything was ok , and mom says the truth No everything was not and relayed her story Delphine interjects that the text we received? Completely AI Generated and that the hotel staff wont see it ....WHAT THE HECK? There is nothing on the text to indicate that its AI Generated nor that it wont actually help Delphine then continued and said that all mom had to do was to come in and the staff (Jennifer) would have gotten her the towels...well mom interjects that She did and how much of a joke it was. Delphine then said "oh let me take care of it" so wouldn't leave a bad review aka BRIBERY So our total should be 124.45 - 40 correct? That equals 84.45 Right? As of today, despite several requests, the business owner, Rohan Patel, has not contacted me. I've also filed a complaint with their parent company, Wyndham, who has informed me they've also told the owner of this location to contact me, but Rohan Patel has not.
I have not received my $100 refundable deposit back, even though I didn't create any damage, and I cleaned more than housekeeping ever tried, even though I left the doorknob hanger out that instructed them to clean. They had 2 sided hangers, 1 side saying to clean & 1 side saying not to disturb. They have not refunded the one I paid on 12/19.
If you have a disability, the AGM will go out of her way to make you feel like an inconvenience. She clearly knows nothing about customer service or disability rights. She lies to cover herself.
The AGM lied saying I refused to speak to motel employees, yet I have several instances where I can prove I've had contact with them.
On the day I checked out, I went to pick up a piece of mail & the AGM mocked my disability & called me names in front of 2 employees & another guest who were in the lobby. This is the behavior of someone in management at this location. I have a permanent physical disability & she chose to mock my disability.
The AGM even claims I demanded they be a courier for me whenever something wasn't delivered to my room, even though my delivery instructions were for the delivery company to deliver directly to my room. Somehow, according to the AGM, it is my fault when a delivery person doesn't follow instructions. What I did tell the front desk is it is hard for me to walk & carry things, which is not the same as making a demand. I currently have to use a walker & wheelchair, & I'm learning to walk again.
On the website (wyndhamhotels.com) it says the following about the pet fee: "Pet Policy Service Animals - ADA-defined service animals are welcome free of charge. / Pets Allowed - 2 pets max. Cats and dogs only. 75lbs or less per pet. / Fees - Non-refundable 25 USD nightly for up to 2 pets. Max 75 USD per stay. / Other Information - Contact hotel for additional details and availability." Yet despite what is in writing, the motel refuses to honor the $75 cap per stay, & the AGM will argue about how it's not their policy even though it's in writing on their website, & nothing is displayed in writing at the front desk. I even called before making my reservation & was told on the phone the pet fee matched what the website says. The AGM claims the pet policy is up to $75 a night for up to 3 animals, & this applies for every night. Clearly anyone who can read knows that is not what the pet policy is saying. She charged me $25 for every night, instead of following the written policy. A written policy is what can be proven legally, yet she was just doing whatever she wanted. She overcharged my card, & even though I was able to provide proof to her, she wouldn't correct the charges so now I'm having to dispute the charges. She even falsely accused me of trying to not pay for my pet, even though what I was actually doing was asking for the written policy to be followed. At one point I even asked her to show me where my math was wrong, but she wouldn't even do that, which just shows me she couldn't prove I was wrong, so instead of doing the right thing, she chose hatred, discrimination, & false accusations.
I've contacted corporate & they just keep ignoring me. They just tell me they'll have the location owner, Rohan Patel, contact me, but he still hasn't.
So if you choose to stay at this location, you will likely experience or witness discrimination & potentially be intentionally overcharged if...
Read moreWe lived here for about a month last year until our house was ready and we actually had a great time. I had 3 kids, a 6mo old puppy and a cat and we had more than our fair share of needs! The lobby and pool area were always clean and front desk personnel were friendly and accommodating. They give you towels to use while at the pool. The free breakfast was pretty good with a decent amount of healthy items to choose from. They have plenty of waffle makers for the crowds so one doesn't have to wait too long to make one! Our room was clean with no sight of pests. The beds and linen were clean and comfy! The cleaning staff were typically pretty friendly and made sure we were stocked up on whatever we needed. And sometimes it was multiple times a day due to random and various reasons! (Sorry!) Granted this place isn't in the most upscale of locations and some of the people staying there seemed (from outer appearances) to possibly be less than desirable (I don't normally judge...) but there is a sheriff station right next door! The parking lot was clean and well lit in the front of the hotel buildings. The back and sides could have been lit a little better but not bad at all. Keep in mind my van was packed to the roof with barely room for us to get in and very obvious every time we got in or out!! It was an easy target for someone wanting to get some free items! But we NEVER had any issues, nor heard of any in the 30+ days of being there! They are pretty much next to Busch Gardens and offer great discounts ESPECIALLY for MILITARY!! They also allowed 2 pets at no additional cost. There was NO way I could afford staying at another hotel as long as we needed to. Even though they allow 2 pets to stay for free and some people tend to take advantage of that... there were no signs of pet accidents or odors (or messes outside) which made a huge difference to me! There was a grassy area along the entire back of the building to walk dogs. Not the biggest but it was definitely enough. Another plus... the pool is huge and is open late! During the summer Busch Gardens sets off fireworks every night! Guests would gather down there letting the kids get out any left over energy while the adults got to relax! It was a nice way to wind down before heading off to sleep! I've also stayed here a couple of times since last summer just to get away... and its always been the same consistently...
