The food and drinks here are absolutely fantastic, but the service is always sub-par.

I’m not asking for someone to be a ray of sunshine in the morning, but if I ask a question and the only thing that I get is an attitude, I will match energy. This is the last time I will ever go to Ybor City Coffee and Tea Co as a local to Ybor.

I’ve been coming to this coffee shop for quite some time and I’m usually greeted nicely and my food comes to me quickly. I usually have great service and my food and drink are ALWAYS delicious. If you do decide to try this place out, I recommend the breakfast Cuban or the breakfast croissant since they are both absolutely delicious and made to perfection. I also always order the matcha latte with lavender and the baristas always do a wonderful job making a delicious and aesthetically pleasing drink. Their scones are wonderfully made as well (I suggest trying any of their pastries).

Today I came in and I figured they would have a limited menu since it was right after a hurricane came in. I was attempting to order food but the cashier was extremely rude to me when I was asking them questions about what they did/didn’t have. Let me be clear, I do not care that they had a limited menu, I just wanted to understand what I could order to make it easy on everyone. I don’t know who the cashier was but he was extremely rude, rolling his eyes as I was asking him what WAS available and I don’t know what I did to deserve this treatment but that is unacceptable. If I came after this dude screaming because I couldn’t get a sandwich, I would understand his animosity… but I was not doing that. It’s strange that so many people take offense to questions when I was just trying to understand what they had. When I was checking out, the cashier was looking to see how much of a tip that I left him too which was still a $1 but now I’m angry that I even gave him anything. The barista that made my drink was extremely polite and kind but that didn’t make up for his buddy’s attitude. As much as I love the food and matcha from this place, I will never be back due to this.

As you can see the food and drink is not what is wrong with the establishment, it is the service. I plan to tell other residents about this experience to see if it is the same across the board but all I can say is that some people do not...

I really don’t understand how this place has such high ratings , I do not like to be harsh when rating local business but coming here was a major disappointment. I honestly had to double check I was even in the right location . As soon as I walked in, the first thing I could smell was the awful stench that resembled spoiled water . It immediately threw me off but I decided to stay and give them a try. When I went to the cashier , I catched the barista cheesing at a customer just to make a nasty “ I don’t want to be here “ face as soon as she turned around . When I asked for a caramel iced latte he informed me that they were low on ice and that he could only make me a small one so unfortunately my cousin didn’t even get to try a drink . I don’t understand how they even run into that situation. Once I did have my drink I was only more disappointed since it tasted like cold milk , absolutely no coffee or caramel flavor at all despite it being a caramel iced latte. As I drank it all I could think of is I wish I would’ve gone to Starbucks . Furthermore, the baked banana bread was given to me with burnt crisps. Not enough chairs and my cousin stood next to me as I sat down for this awful experience . I wouldn’t reccomend this place to anyone and it really doesn’t live up to...

On Sunday morning I was looking for a place to have coffee and quick bite. Since I haven't tried the foundation coffee before and it was on my list so I took this an opportunity to have coffee at Foundation Coffee. It is a small beautiful cafe with free wifi access where one cab work and sip coffee. There is also a roadside parking available in front of the cafe. Along with different options for coffee available at foundation coffee it also includes teas, Beer, wine and also to have quick bite like bagel, croissant etc. After exploring the menu from the register area I ordered Macchiato Hot Coffee, Everything Bagel with Cream Cheese, Butter Croissant and Cold Brew for me as well as my friend. The service was good and soon in 5-10 minutes we got our order. First I had bagel with toasted pretty well with Cream Cheese spread which made it delicious. My friend had butter croissant which was delicious hot and toasted in oven. Then i had hot macchiato which was good and freshly roasted coffee. Then we tried our cold brew which my friend also said that it could have been better. Maybe it was not our taste. All in all amazing cafe with multiple stuff to sip and...

Amazing coffee. I’ve been to many cafes and this one stood out. Their loose leaf tea was also quality. Their baristas could be a bit friendlier and chatty, but overall great!
