La France — Local services in Tampa

My first time in was Wednesday evening and I was so excited to go. It ended up being very awkward. First, you must ring a doorbell to be let in. My guess is they deal with a lot of unsavory people drifting in and out and theft as a result. Masks are required (they did provide one), which is fine. It’s just odd because they seem to be the only place that requires them in very large radius. When I entered, after the lady let me in and handed me a mask, she walked away quickly and just said something about letting her know if I needed something. The only other time I was acknowledged was when the guy working told me that had other sizes in styles I was looking at. But they had tons of time to have conversation with someone who they knew came in. Then, as I went to leave, there was a sign on the door that said customers need to ask to be let out. No one even saw me at the door, so I unlocked it and let myself out. Not only is this the only business I have been to where the door is only unlocked upon request, but it is a HUGE violation of fire code to have a main exit locked during business hours. This was a first visit, random stop-in for me because I was right next door.

Although I didn't purchase anything, I've given this store a five-star rating because the atmosphere is great, the customer service is excellent, the selection is amazing, and the products are varied and eye-catching.

They have a generous selection, of varied sizes, of great hats, shirts, pants, shorts, coats, jackets, dresses, shoes, jewelry, and knick-knacks.

Be aware that this store has a no returns or exchanges policy. I almost made a significant purchase without trying anything on when I saw the policy posted, taped on to the register. Thankfully I saw this and tried the items on.

Also be aware that in a lot of instances, they have additional sizes that aren't on the racks or shelves, and you simply need to ask one of the employees.

I will definitely return at some point and look some more, because I overheard that they get new and are changing stock regularly. Also I have no problem recommending this store to my friends and family. What a...

My friends and I had the absolute best experience here shopping for pieces for Pride-related activities. Each employee was helpful off the bat taking our items we were interested in and keeping them safe/in order so that we had what we needed when we were ready to try things on. They also proactively told us that for non-sale sections they were happy to grab us alternative sizes of garments (as available) and they made good on that promise time and time again.

At a certain point, I mentioned to one of the employees what it was that we were shopping for and then the whole team seemed to go into high-octane mode! They picked things out from the floor for us to try and grabbed various sizing options, helped us get into garments as needed and made my friends and I feel that they were as committed to making us look and feel great for our events as we were :)
