I visit this store once a week. I have high praise for the team who are so helpful and have a great attitude given the challenges of working at an often understaffed store. The line was extremely long today as they didn't have enough checkers but once I got to the front the young woman was very upbeat and so pleasant. I don't know how she maintains her good attitude and I wish I had her name because she's a gem. I hope Corporate are doing a better job of recognizing these hard working essential workers who put their own health at risk during Covid to serve the public. Give them all a raise. I pick up one prescription monthly, get a reminder on my phone, click yes, and it lets me know when it's ready. I can't believe how quickly the pharmacy tech consistently gets through the line of people and completes my transaction. She makes it a pleasure. I would recommend the Taos Wal-Mart pharmacy over any other pharmacy in town. Wish the store could keep the cat food isle stocked, but it seems to be an issue at most places right now. Maybe it's a supply chain issue? Anyway, many thanks to the friendly team at the...
Read moreI had a frustrating experience at Walmart when I bought a tire inflator marked on clearance. At self-checkout, the system scanned both the clearance and full price, and the employee with short reddish-orange hair rudely told me it was a final sale when I asked about returning it. I asked her to remove it, and I thought she did, but when I checked my receipt on the way out, I saw I was still charged the clearance price. I approached an employee outside who tried to help, but he told me to return the next day since the registers were closed.
When I returned on Monday, the same employee dismissively said, “I don’t know what that is,” when I showed her the receipt. Another employee, Patty, told me, “working is a choice,” when I explained I work two jobs and can only shop late. It felt condescending and rude. This is the only Walmart in town, and it’s uncomfortable knowing I’ll have to deal with this kind of treatment every time...
Read moreSo disappointing this is the only store in Taos that carries certain items. This store is an eternal disaster. It's been under construction forever, they're always out of everything I need, the parking lot is a disaster and full of trash. There is no produce section like others have said, in fact, there is no fresh food whatsoever. On three occasions now, I've bought other groceries and found them all to be stale (granola, crackers, chips, chocolate chips for baking). Not to mention Walmarts new tactic of "handling tarrifs" which involves removing all of the perforated price tags so they can fluctuate prices on everything. It's absolute price gouging for starters, but overall extremely annoying because almost nothing in the store has accurate price signs, so you can never tell how much anything costs. I...
