Tractor Supply Co. — Attraction in Tehachapi

I hate to do this to this store in Tehachapi, but the merchandise we received today was damaged, as well as missing parts. We DO NOT live in the area, and are closer to this store than the one in Lancaster. We ordered a chicken coope online and paid for it so we could come and pick it up today. When she pulled the box out of the connex it was water damaged and what looked like chewed through on a couple of corners. When we opened the box and proceeded to get all the parts out top get it put together, the hardware was missing, all of it. It was also covered in mouse and rat droppings. When I called, I guess it was easier for them to grab the first box , from what the "manager" stated, then having to dig through to get a better looking box. Her answer of course was , "oh well, bring it back and we can replace it for you". UGH.....just be warned that always check your merchandise before leaving the store. We spend so much money here, and have never had an issue, but this poor managerial service was sub par. I know no one wants to work on the weekends, maybe they call themselves managers so they can cover for each other, who knows, but I was handed off from the original person on the phone. We just recently moved here from Palmdale and the difference between the customer service at each store is substantial. In Palmdale the associates are usually grumpy and unhelpful. Recently I purchased a gift card at this Tehachapi location and there was an issue with the transaction. It was saying my credit card was charged but that the gift card was not activated. The associate attempted to refund me however the system wouldn't allow it. The manager called over Amber who started making multiple phone calls to resolve the issue. She was very apologetic and did not make me feel like it was my fault at all or that I was being an inconvenience like many other stores do. Believe it or not...... I was building horse shelters for my horses. I needed to get anchors to anchor down the shelter's I was building. We have high winds here in Tehachapi.
