Eagle Soar Playground & Splash Pad at Michael Naggar Community Park — Attraction in Temecula

As a typical splash pad and playground, it’s a fun place for kids to be. As a mother to an autistic child however, I was a bit disheartened. This place is advertised as being intentionally made to be inclusive and accessible but all the additions that made it unique and special needs focused were gone. Also I obviously can’t say just from a glance for certain, but there didn't seem to be other children there that were like my autistic son, so once again we felt out of place.

I was so excited to have a place where we didn’t have to feel nervous or anxious about being ourselves but it was just like any other splash pad. We are probably in a minority but it’s just not what we were expecting or hoping for. This is a clean, really fun park. I came here with my 9 mo old granddaughter on one of those really hot days. Luckily, water is one of the attractions at this park. Getting sprayed, squirted, and jumping in puddles is all part of the fun here. There were kids of all ages and something for all of them. There was staff to supervise in the water area as well as it being enclosed so you don't have to worry about your kids wondering off. The only negative thing I can say about the park is that it was really crowded and with their being such an age range of kids, the older kids were sometimes a little too rowdy around the really young ones. Love this park! I wish the swings had shade, but the rest of the park is awesome. There are different playgrounds for certain age groups and the splash pad is very fun! My favorite thing about the park is that all of the playground equipment and splash pad are all enclosed so kids can’t run into the parking lot or down the hill. It provides a lot of independent play without worry that kiddos will run out of the play area. There is only one in and out gate so that helps ease the mind that anything will happen to your kid.
