Wish I could give ZERO stars!!! Saturday Nov 23, 2024 - my family and I go to watch the ASU game. The waitress (receipt had the name 'Ty' on it) at 1st was ok. Later she tells us she's working a double (we didn't need to know that!), she's taking a 15 min break & someone else will be bringing our food. THAT NEVER HAPPENED! So, when she does bring our food there were some issues with our salad, so no apologies just took the salad and we didn't get that back for over 20 minutes! About 20 minutes previous, we ordered more wings. About 45 minutes later, she came by and said "no one brought you your wings?" To which we replied no. (Isn't SHE or waitress???) She had come by no less than 4 times prior to her noticing. She had simply forgotten them (forgotten us) although not stating she had. Additionally, she NEVER offered/refilled our waters! Took her about 20 MORE minutes and the wings FINALLY got to us. We were so full at that time, we figured we'd just take them home as leftovers vs declining them and being wasteful. We drove 15 miles home. A short time later, realized we left them on the table. Partially our bad, but in our defense , IF she were taking away the empty plates from our table, maybe we wouldn't have? I called Zipps and the gal that answered the phone chastised me stating "how about you don't forget them next time?!" I told her she's being rude! I want to speak to the manager! 5 minutes later, a guy gets on the phone. He doesn't identify himself, so I asked if he was the manager, he said yes. I even had to ask his name!!! What manager doesn't identify himself to a customer that asks for a manager?? His name is Jared. I told him what happened including the rude girl I had just spoken with. He said they didn't have a policy of replacing food that was left. I advised him that my family and I just spent over $230 there! Due to the excessive and horrible delay in receiving the wings and we not getting them until we were almost ready to leave AND the server FAILING to take away dirty/empty dishes, and since there's "no policy", perhaps he may want to simply take care of his/Zipps customers whom just dropped $230?! He declined to do so. So, I advised that I must post this situation online, so that as many people that I can reach and to share this with don't receive this type of lacking service! Please be advised... You may want to try a different location. We have been to 4 different Zipps locations around the valley. We have NEVER experienced this type of lacking care and unprofessionalism! I sincerely hope the person that has their name displayed as "the owner", who did post on a positive review below, will read this and reach out to me to fix this! They must be advised that this is going on at THEIR restaurant!!
6-14-25, NO REPLY FROM THE OWNER NOT ANYONE ELSE! My family friends and anyone who finds this review useful as a heads up warning will NEVER be back to this location.... EVER! We will dine, enjoy time together and spend OUR hard earned money somewhere that VALUES and respects their customers! Zipps on McClintock and Warner.......
Read moreJennette, our server was great. Friendly and accommodating. Came to hang out with the guys on a typical Friday night to Play golden tee, as usual. We placed our order of fish tacos, pizza, and beer. Turns out their fish tacos are actually a burrito cut in half that they call tacos.... How is that fish tacos? No issues, had the burrito/taco... Whatever. It was very bland and I wished I had just ordered the bacon burger, since the taco/burrito was terrible with no flavor... After a couple beers and our food, we closed out our tab to trying to accommodate the server as we finished our games with Golden tee. As we were on the 16th hole of our game of Golden tee it had just passed 12:00 a.m. I noticed the bar had cleared out and let them know that we would only be a few minutes longer, but the blonde girl behind the bar started yelling at us telling us we had 3 minutes to finish. She started counting down after 1 minute. We were caught off guard by her aggressiveness. We come here all the time and have never had issues, but this girl seemed to want to show her authority. We understood that they were no longer serving for the evening. However, we just wanted to finish the game. We did not require any attention but the blonde lady yelling at us behind the bar wanted us to leave even though they were still there and had additional patrons. We expressed our situation that we were only trying to finish a game, and we would be leaving shortly. She counted down from 1 minute which I thought was extremely unprofessional since we didn't require any attention, paid our bill, and were clear with them we only wanted to take a couple min to finish the game. If they close at midnight there should be a grace period for patrons to leave by 12:30. We ended up leaving by 12:15 a.m. . We spend hundreds of dollars there a month and this has been one of our go-to spots. However after our experience tonight we will have to reconsider.
Update 07/19/21: Thank you for the response from the OWNER. However, we were never notified of last call by any employee and realized it was almost 12am ONLY when it started clearing out at mid-night. I guess it is our fault that we didn't check what time it was or that your business closes at mid-night. However, when I realized your business was closing, our server wasn't around, so I asked the the blonde at the bar if we could finish since we were almost done. With an attitude, she reluctantly agreed to let us finish. Almost immediately she started getting more aggressive and then started yelling 3 min, 1min, and counting down at 30 seconds... Maybe she had a bad night, IDK, but it could have been handled with a different approach. Either way, once she started counting down from 30 sec, (prior to 12:15 as the manager says is the grace period) we finished and left. We were in our vehicle by12:15 am, but it is what it is. We were not rude in any way to your staff and felt the blonde was excessive in her aggression. Our...
