Baristas get through the line very quickly, even during rush periods in the mornings.
The drinks are priced fairly, especially with alternative milks added (dietary restrictions out of my control), which I appreciate. Some other coffee shops charge a lot more for watered down drinks, and it’s just not feasible to end up paying $8-9 for a coffee. Here, I can get a large (16oz) latte, extra espresso shot (50 cents), and milk alternative for about $5. Plus, they have a stamp-card rewards system that you can use to earn a free drink of your choice—just note that cold brews and some other drinks may not count towards it (ask them for clarification).
The coffee here is stronger (not watered down, packs some much needed caffeine) and flavorful. I find that I can enjoy a latte without any added flavor or sugar. The beans they use, I find, are fresh, not sour, and leave a slightly sweet after taste. They have a whole wall of syrups; there’s not a flavor you probably wouldn’t be able to find.
Just a note, like many other coffee shops, the pastries will be at least $3 depending on what you pick (bagels may be cheaper). Some variety gets switched out based on the day, but they usually always have...

I’ve been coming here for years so this is long overdue. Let me start by saying: the dude that’s been working here the entire time I’ve been coming is the MAN. I’m not sure if he owns the place, but he works like he OWNS the place. You can tell he’s dedicated to the craft and is a great people person.
All of the other employees that have been in and out of there have been good too. This place has been training grounds for countless people and I’ve witnessed many people grow here.
Now, let’s focus on the coffee. They have many standard options and will also run specials. I personally know what I like so it’s easy for me. If you are unsure, but like coffee, start with a standard drink because their coffee is good quality. They also sell coffee beans by the bag at a fair price.
Today I got 4 shots of espresso with a bit of hazelnut sweetener and oat milk. It was fantastic and I hope dude mixes it this way every time. The total was $6, which I find to be extremely affordable in this economy.

Read moreSeattle Espresso has been around longer than me, and it's become my favorite place to go every morning for the last year and a half. Here's my opinion:
Coffee & Tea: A Food: B+ Price: A Service: A+ Vibes: A
Other Notes: The Bella Mocha is a highlight. It doesn't have the same chalky or over-sweet flavor as other places.
Seattle Espresso is a small Cafe, so indoor seating is limited and it isn't always the best place to sit down and get work done. But it does have outdoor seating next to a fountain for the cooler months. There's always a sense of comfort and friendliness here, and every barista has been excellent so far.
They have a nice little rewards thing going with stamp cards. They also sell some very cute arts and goods from small craftspeople, which I've happily used as gifts for loved ones.
Overall, super happy to have found this gem. Seattle Espresso is the bar I hold other local coffee places to, and none of the other local joints have measured up...
