This place ruined a PS4 Pro. I took them a PS4 that needed to have the APU resoldered. On the first phone call, Heather answered the phone and was very confident she could fix it. So I let them come and pick up the console. Then after not hearing anything for a few days, I called and asked how it was going. They seemed to have thought it was a whole different chip completely. They even stated they turned on the PS4 and saw the problem. Stated that now if it’s the APU she would have to “bake” the entire motherboard. (That’s not how you do an APU reball by the way) So finally after 2 weeks I called back and after they soldered a new IC chip on, all the sudden now the power supply suddenly dies! Was not having power issues prior to having Tempe Tech Lab work on it. When the power supply died they basically had the nerve to blame it on the last technicians who attempted to work on it, and then had the audacity to ask me to pay for it! So I asked for the unit back and a full refund. At first she wanted to charge me $35 diagnostic fee, and I argued about that because I already knew what the problem was, I didn’t need them to diagnose nothin’. Got my full refund after almost a 30 minute argument over the phone. Then when I got home I was curious to see what had been done to this PS4 Pro, the damage to the motherboard was extensive. You could literally see where the power supply had fried and left burn marks on the motherboard!! Keep in mind the power supply was fine before they worked on it. That PS4 had to be sold for parts. After they worked on it there was no hope of fixing it. My console was completely ruined....
Read moreTook my Nintendo Wii to be repaired and was told i needed a new disc drive and it would cost $65 to repair. I approved the work took about 10 days or so and I picked up my Wii. After a few days of having it at home i finally got around to hooking it back up to find out the disc drive still didnt work. I immediately called Tech Lab and was told to bring it back in. Few days later I take it back and a couple more days later, I get a call saying that the disc drive that was in the Wii was not the new one that was installed. I explained that I wouldnt even know where to begin with how that happened and I wouldnt know how to take a part the Wii let alone switch out a new disc drive with an old one. Laura at Tech lab basically accussed me of stealing the new disc drive that was supposedly installed and putting another old one in. If i new how to do that I would have just purchased a new disc drive and install myself. Never have i been so insulated and accused of theft. Laura did apply a full refund back to my Amex after I told here i was going to call my credit card company and take her to small claims court. I will NEVER come back to this place again but thankful they refunded my money and...
Read moreI would give this place 0 stars if I could. I call in and Richard the guy behind the desks quotes me around $100. After I come in, he then quotes me $164 for an iPhone XR screen and then tires to up sell me $20 more for tempered glass (going to other stores it’s around $1 for them to purchase this and now I’m at $185 when Apple themselves quoted me $199). I tell him I don’t want the add on after being no where close to the $100 he first quoted me. He then precedes to tell me that it will take an hour and if the door is locked he left to go get the “screen”. He has my password and has access to all that is on my phone and found this VERY odd. To no surprise, the screen cracks after I’m simply working out with the phone in a case, in a sleeve on my arm from a routine workout. I bring the phone back and he says this wouldn’t be under warranty(of course it’s not) and I would have to pay $164 to get it fixed. When the screen cracked I realized it is 100% not an apple screen, had weird blue and green lines on it and should have NEVER cracked from something as simple as a work out. The store looks pathetic and empty. I wouldn’t go back here if it was the last iPhone repair shop on earth. Thanks for...
