This is where I met my beautiful daughter Allison's father 13 years ago. In the corner of the strip, between lashes and la fitness, where the big LA fitness windows into the treadmill area are now located, there used to be a huge bar and regulation pool hall + full music venue call the SETS. In years prior it had been known as Pinkys for awhile and then as Sticks. This was my favorite hang out spot when I was in my softmore year of college and I would often go study there and ended up moving into the area with friends I had made there. I met Steve, Ali's dad when he was a bouncer there. After it closed down LA Fitness bought it out and expanded East into the complex like they are now.
So, for tgat reason I live this complex, but tbh there is so so much more here!
Venezia's Pizzas ... To DIE for... My mother's all time favorite. I hear people taking about them all the time. Have to try at least once.
Mochinut- Korean mochi donuts, boba drinks and Korean Corn dogs, or K-dogs are the unique products that set this little food place aside from the rest. Featured a few years ago on Ticktock, these Dogs are either beef hot dog, mozzarella stick center or half and half and are coated with a panko-esque crust and your choice of to things like hot Cheeto or little square potato chunks, fried golden brown and can be eaten with dipping sauces like cheese or hot sauce or by themselves. They are AMAZING! I took my daughter here a few years ago and then again the other day on her birthday. They are VERY reasonably priced... $5.99 on avg for dogs, 3pk Mochinut for $9 and I believe around $7 for drinks like strawberry lemon sparkle (or with sprite) - make sure to add popping boba to your drink for $1 extra!
Liquor store- aThe little drive thru liquor store in this complex is also a great spot. Run by the same people since my college days, they are helpful, patient and have a great selection of drinks and products at average prices. They also sell smoking assessories such as pipes and oil burners, making them a super convenient one stop for those who need them. They are still my go to for my pre gaming needs and cigarettes when I am in the area.
Burger King- So the Burger King in this complex is set up to accept EBT Hot Foods/Restaurant meal program. This is one of the only ones that do so if you enjoy BK and have this benefit plan, make sure to commit this to memory now!
In conclusion, Google often asks me to rate a complex, which is typically very hard to do as a whole when I often only know one or two of the businesses within it.... In this case, I happened to have very strong and positive feelings about so many of the businesses, I thought I might take the time to this... And hope that there are other that come to love this...
Read moreGreat. I like this center. Although the name implies shopping, I don't see much shopping places here They do have a nutrition shop so you can buy protein powders and vitamins- never tried it though, not my thing. They also do have the LA Fitness gym and Venezia's pizza (yummy!) Eat, workout, get hungry, eat, workout...;) Ironic how they're next to each other. Burger King is also in this plaza as well- a cheap tasty quick bite. The only problem with this plaza is that it gets super packed and sometimes if you want to find parking to go the the LA Fitness gym after 5 pm, even the spots farther away still get filled. Avoid after 5 pm on weekdays if you're not a...
Read morePlenty of places to shop in this area, The parking lot in this place is large enough for everyone, but still seems that people are on top of each other and that everyone wants to be in the same place. You people wanting to exercise trying to park as close to the fitness as possible, while others are stopping to pick up their pizza orders, while others are driving around looking for a certain business. Well lit at night, clean with easy in and out to...
