American Rental Home Furnishings — Attraction in Terre Haute

I have been buying from them for years and was always highly satisfied. However, I recently purchased from them and was quite disappointed. The guy that I talked to on the phone had assured me that if I made a new purchase, they would add it on to the one that I already had with them. Therefore, I would still have just the one payment per month. ( the purchase that I already had with them was close to being paid off) when I made the drive to American Rental to make a new purchase, the girl told me that I would have 2 separate payments. And whoever told me that was wrong…she couldn’t believe someone had told me that. So I had to pay off my previous purchase, or else have 2 payments. That’s what I did. I wasn’t prepared to spend that money, but in order to have only one payment, I paid it off. It is what it is, but my point being, I think they have new people working in there. I have rented from American Rental for 17 years. I have never had issues with them until here the last year or two. Needless to say they have lost my business due to bad management. Telling me I neglected an item that broke to start with them charging me for the bill. Never had I had any items picked up from non payment, everything has been paid off and has been fine. First time an item gets broken you will be charged. Insurance there means nothing when needed. Will deal with the issue at hand and won't be back! I've been doing business with this location since 2016 and have gotten multiple items ranging from a complete living room furniture set, to a washer and dryer, to TV stands/TV, to laptop/computers and I've never had an issue. The staff here is extremely professional and courteous. They work with you and help you find what you need and if they don't have it, they can possibly order it. The prices are more than fair and the condition in which they sell everything is perfect.
