I took advantage of the opportunity to upgrade to a king-size bed suite. When I sat down on the couch, I smelled urine. I sniffed the cushions and two of the three had a strong urine smell. I spoke to a gentleman at the front desk around 11:30 a.m. on February 22, 2025, and requested that the cushions be swapped out. He stated that he would send housekeeping to do so. When my young son and I returned to the room around 4 p.m., the cushions had not been swapped. I called down to the front desk and was told that housekeeping had left for the day. I requested that someone swap out the cushions, and she replied that she could move my son and I to a different room, but could not swap the cushions. I explained that I did not want the inconvenience of moving my belongings and my child to a different room and simply wanted cushions that did not smell of urine so that we could use the couch. She stated that only housekeeping had the authority to swap the cushions. I requested to have a manager contact me. No one called.
When I checked out the next morning, I shared with a third front desk employee that the cushions smelled of urine and that no one had replaced them. I requested to have the upgrade charge for the suite removed from my bill since we were unable to use the couch, which is what differentiated the suite from a non-suite. He stated that he could not do so, but would have a manager contact me when they arrived in the afternoon. I left him know that I would be expecting the call.
It is now February 26, 2025, and I have not received a call from a manager. Additionally, the additional charge to upgrade my room to a suite was on my bill. Aside from the poor customer service and lack of follow-through and the demand that I move my belongings and my child to another room rather than change out two sofa cushions, I am disgusted by the fact that the sofa cushions reeked of urine. It makes me question the cleaning and sanitation procedures that La Quinta utilizes. I URGE EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL BECAUSE IT IS UNSANITARY!
After posting this review, I received an email from the hotel chain and i chatted with a service representative who was not able to do anything specific except promise to have the property manager contact me. That was almost one week ago and nobody has bothered to contact me. The owners truly do not seem to care about taking care of...

Read moreI will start off by saying Thank You to the Staff especially Kevin. My recent stay this past New Year Weekend was above and beyond and the perfect way to bring in 2018. It was also my daughter's Birthday Celebration. Due to Staybridge Suites which is no more than 5-8 minutes down the road, I was unable to check in my room that I had reserved a few nights prior to my arrival at 3p. There was a issue with the room I booked and then I was offered to pay a $200-$300 deposit more if I had a debit card for a room I did not want which I was told by the Front Desk Employee Luis that the manager had told him to relay the message to me instead of calling before I arrived. Upset but calm, I cancelled the reservation with them and told them that I should have been contacted prior to me showing up with my family. From there I left and went to straight to La Quinta. When I walked through the door, there were 2 Employees ready to help me reserve a room and accommodated me. They were able to get me in a room right away. My room was clean, plenty of fresh, warm clean towels as if they had just came out the dryer. The bathroom was spacious and the beds were like sleeping on clouds. The room decor was beautiful. We ended up on the 4th floor at the far end which we were able to step out and see the scenery. I didn't hear not one sound from the rooms next to ours. The pool and spa was warm and clean with towels. Also we were able to go to the gym which was 24 hours that had water if you need it with flat screen tvs on the wall. They served breakfast which had a variety of options to choose from (Waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, cereal, coffee, tea, OJ, Etc.) They also have a washer and dryer in case of needing to wash on the 2nd Floor. Other Guests who were checked in were nice and social as well. When checking out on Monday which was 1/1/18, Kevin checked us out our room and made sure we were pleased with our stay. I highly recommend La Quinta and will be back in the future. My daughter enjoyed...
