Worst dining experience. My husband and I went to have a dinner on a Sunday evening. We ordered a starter from their Indian clay pot section and was told it will take around 20-25 minutes. We were ready to wait. Also, we specifically asked the server should we order the main course later but she said that we can order it now. Next, they got the main first and forgot that our starter hasn’t reached the table yet. We said either cancel our starter or our main course as we cannot eat cold food. They took away the main course and said they will bring it 10 minutes after we had our starter. We told them make sure you don’t reheat it and that’s exactly what they did. The curry was only a bit warm and rotis were cold. They had to bring fresh rotis again while we were waiting for our curry to get even more cold. Since the quantity was less so we decided to order one more curry and asked the server that is your kitchen still open to take this curry order, she said yes. We waited for 20 minutes and got to know that they completely forgot about our order. We were fed up and asked to bring the check and told them since you didn’t bring the curry on time…the rotis which were on the table got cold so atleast remove one roti from the check. The server has the audacity to mention we cannot cancel the roti but we can cancel the curry which was the not on the table in the first place. We had to explain the story to the manager and share our experience. The food was good but we had the worst experience. Make sure if their kitchen is busy don’t...
Read moreDuring our visit to Little India in Lewisville, TX, today, we were treated to a delightful surprise. While awaiting our order, we were generously offered complimentary samosas. This unexpected samosa indulgence left a lasting impression and prompted us to order more. The first bite offered a harmonious blend of spices encased in a crispy, flaky pastry shell—a truly exquisite experience.
Our encounter extended beyond the food as we had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Madhu, the skilled artisan behind these samosas. She personally handcrafts the dough for each samosa, a daily ritual that ensures the highest quality. Whether you're well-acquainted with Indian cuisine or a curious newcomer seeking new tastes, the samosas at Little India are an absolute necessity.
Nestled in the heart of Lewisville, TX, this hidden gem promises to be a paradise for samosa enthusiasts. The friendly staff and pristine environment add to the welcoming ambiance, making the experience even more enjoyable for...
Read moreEverything here was almost perfect. I didn't have the option to give 4.75 stars otherwise I would. The food selection is great. The presentation is outstanding. Staff does a great job. The grocery store is a little smaller than most Indian stores but still pretty big.
The only suggestion I would have here is that the wait time could be shorter. I understand when things get busy, but when it's not packed, a quicker turnaround would be amazing. Secondly, I think the paani in the Pani Puri is almost there but there is a sweetness to it. Might want to explore the option to use something like jalzeera to add a little more sourness to it. Dahi puri was really good but I think the onions and beans in them made them a little too much and possibly contributed to them getting soggy a little too quick.
That could just be my OCD but in the last 4 weeks, I have been to many different locations to find the best pani puri and dahi puri and this is definitely number 3 out...
