Giving this a 3/5 purely for the fact that they are not as organized as they should be-especially seeing itâs not a new haunted house!
First off, you purchase tickets online for time frames. They claim limited sales for each time-yet you arrive during your designated time and still have to wait in line with others that purchased times later than you or at the venue. 100 minutes we waited. Having an 8:30-9 time frame and not entering house until 10:20.
My suggestion is to have separate lane for those purchasing walk up tickets and separate lines for each designated time frame. Maybe 4 lines. Express, 2 times frames at a time, and then walk up sales-no time frame!
Then, we got to front only to realize they were pairing groups of 4+ and we had to enter with another party. Not the end of the world, but upon enteringâŚ.the timing was off. Within the first 3 minutes-the group behind us was now part of our group, then another 5 minutes in we caught up with group in front of us! Can we sayâŚCONGA LINE?!
Disappointing to drive an hour there and wait 100 minutes, then miss a bunch of scares due to being in a group of like 30 people in one line.
On the plus side, staff was friendly in gift store & set design was top notch! Scareactors were great, but we missed some opportunities with huge group. There were also some areas in need of live actors where they missed the chance for a scare.
Fix the organization issues and this...
Read moreVery short, fast paced hunted house for highschool kids. Youâll be sweating inside because itâs very hot. Drove over an hour to come here from LA and left indifferent about it.
Iâve been to a couple hunted houses and this goes on the bottom. They have good props and it seems like itâs maintained well. However, itâs very short, more like 15-20 minutes for $30 (general admission). Or it feels like it is because thereâs always a group rushing you from behind or the crew will keep you moving fast. Youâre speedwalking the entire thing. You donât get to really enjoy it. They have cool contraptions and good themed rooms. Some parts feel icky and gross because you have to use your whole body to pass through and hundreds of people go through the same thing each day. If you suffer from claustrophobia, acrophobia or selaphobia, this is not for you!
Also, itâs 90% of the attendees are kids. There are 3 actors scaring people while in line and a couple live actors during the maze but not enough to get a terrifying scare. Most are props and maybe a dozen or so actors. The line can get intensely long later in the night so come before 8pm.
If you live in LA, I suggest trying other hunted houses. Although other places are more expensive, youâll be experiencing...
Read more2025's maze was unfortunate. This is the 3rd year in a row I've returned the Reign of Terror and I normally love this experience.
It would have been great if they hadn't increased the number of rooms with strobe lights by at least 75%. Strobe lights have an awful affect on my vertigo and some of my friends who came along felt the same way. I felt awful for inviting them and having to endure all the strobe lighting.
Before, there would be maybe 2 rooms with strobe lighting and I would just basically close my eyes through the short rooms and endure.
I really would have liked to give more stars, but even though many of the tour was great, the affect of the strobe lights really ruined the entire experience.
I was also separated from my group by a cast member and placed in front of a line because they assumed I would be the most easily scared (small/short woman). In reality the 2 men and my wife whom I was with were...
