What can I say about something that was perfect, top to bottom!?
First have to say that I had gone with a Friend to see Grease last night [16May] & have to say: What a WONDERFUL show!!
EVERY ONE of the Actors were outstanding! Heck, I was exhausted for them! I had told my Friend to save her Program because one day, some of these Actors will be famous & we can say: "I saw them at the Broadway Rose Theatre Company in Tigard, OR!"
Have to chuckle at one particular part in Act II. The scene was being played out in the Burger Joint & the Actor at the table had spilled a drink onto the bench & I was smiling the whole time while watching her smile while 'trying' to stay in character & cleaning up the mess during her performance :) I don't know how the Actor sitting across from her kept a straight face? :) She even had waved off another Actor, whom, I'm guessing was supposed to sit at that part, while still cleaning up the soda ;) It was just too funny [in a good way] not to smile :) The show must go on, right? :) She didn't miss a beat.
I didn't expect the Actors to come out into the hallway after the performance, but also didn't want to approach them because I'm certain they had Friends & Family there & I wanted to respect their boundaries, so I had made eye contact with Dillon Giles & just congratulated him on the great job they all did!
As for the Theater itself: What a Gem! Had gone into the Theater with no expectations & I was genuinely surprised! I didn't partake in any of the beverages or snacks, but it was all organized perfectly. Since it's a small venue, there weren't TONS of people, which made this venue really intimate! Not a bad seat in the Theater! Our seats were Row K, which was near the back, but you still didn't feel far away! [If that makes sense?] Theater was very clean! Sound inside the performance area was really crisp & clear! I know all the Actors were & had to be mic'd up, but still a clean sound. Congrats to those working the Boards.
Thought it was also kind of cool to 'sort of' include the Musician's that you could see tucked away in the back. Shout out to them as well! They sounded great!
Staff was very friendly. Even joked with my Friend that the Staff Member handing out the Grease Playbills, looked sort of like Jonathan Banks, who played Mike in Breaking Bad :)
Wrapping up this small novel...I will now keep Broadway Rose Theatre Company...
Read moreSept 26,2025 - went to see Triangle at the New Stage theater tonight. Somehow mixed up my dates (bought the tickets months ago as a gift) and ended up there on the 26th when my tickets were for the 27th. The staff was so kind and amazing about it! They looked and saw that there were some cancelations from people who were sick, and offered to let us stay and see it tonight. They were even able to get us in the same row as our original tickets. The play itself was great! I was impressed with how they handled the transitions, and even more impressed by how well the actors and actresses did with multiple roles! One guy played at least 3 different roles, and the others played 2 or more. The one fellow who stayed in 1 role was on stage most of the time. I couldn't believe how they were able to jump from one character to the next, clothing and all. Kudos to the backstage staff for keeping it going smoothly, the props were really gorgeous and versatile, and the lighting was well done - drawing our attention to where it needed to go. I am so impressed by this theater, from the front end support staff to the backstage crew, and the great actors. Each of the individual songs were sung wonderfully, the songs that they sang to each other back and forth were coordinated so we could follow both sides of it, and the many harmonies were beautiful to listen to. I have yet to see anything put on by this group that was not a complete pleasure to see. Thank you for all the hard work you guys obviously put into these. The director for this one really helped them out on an amazing show. Thank you for bringing all this wonderful work into our community for all to enjoy! Can't wait for the next time!! I highly recommend this theater company! Thanks Broadway Rose for all you do (and all the supporting sponsors).
July 2025 - Been to 2 shows at the New Stage Theater. Both 8 Track and Grease were done very well and a total kick to watch. Seats are great, actors and actresses are clearly enjoying their roles, and a great time was had by all! Have tickets to 2 more...
Read moreWe have seen Beehive 2 times before but we enjoyed it so much, we were pleased to get to see it again. I have to say, we enjoyed everything all over again...but to a higher degree! We grew up in the 60's and, like everyone else, we enjoyed hearing all those songs sung again.
But what a wonderful group of performers were awaiting us! Every singer was perfect choice for each song they sang! Each singer created the original artist perfectly for us!
The little bits to connect the songs were done delightfully. I love to laugh so the humor was most enjoyable.
But the second half! By artists I knew but really hadn't listened to. Again, each singer representing an artist was amazing! They put everything they had into each song! I don't see how they could even move, much less speak or sing, after their part. I had never seen Janis Joplin sing; I just knew I liked Me and Bobby McGee. But, Wow! I felt as if Janis was on stage Friday night, singing her heart out. And Tina! There's another WOW!
I also enjoyed The Women Who Rocked the 60's . It helped me catch up on the artists.
Thanks for all...
