Twice now I have ordered a super burrito from this establishment. The first time I ordered one was about a year ago, I found it comes smothered with enchilada sauce, when other establishments do not do that with theirs.
Today, I called and asked for the super burrito, and asked the lady on the phone (who spoke very little English) if that one is the burrito that comes smothered in enchilada sauce, and after asking me 3x what I meant, I told her "Red enchilada sauce on top?", at which she told me "No, no sauce on top".
I get my order picked up, and get back to work, because I was on my lunch break, to find that it is smothered with enchilada sauce. That if I was to eat it would leave me riddled with acid reflux for the next 12-18 hours.
When I called to try and talk to someone, even though I work right across the street and could have walked, it rang and rang. I waited a few minutes and tried again, the phone was answered, but I never got a response to me saying "Hello?", and "Is anybody there?".
I am very disappointed with the service here. The food was good, except for being drowned in enchilada sauce. My solution both times now has been to remove the burrito, the sour cream, and the avocado, and try to remove as much of the enchilada sauce as possible.
But that's another 10 minutes of my precious lunch break time being taken up, because of someone else's inability to do their job correctly, and I don't have time to walk back over there and have it remade.
Needless to say, I'll stick with ordering my food from Taco Del Sol. At least I get what I ask for over...
Read moreQuirky on the outside, warm on the inside was my first impression of Sanchez Taqueria. We entered and were greeted with big smiles and a polite hello. We ordered from the counter and paid, grabbed some cold water and took a seat while our takeout order was prepared. My wife opted for the chicken burrito (no beans or rice), our son and his wife ordered the tacos, I opted for the flautas and our grandkids had the quesadilla and of course a big bag of chips for all. Order was completed during a short wait and we noticed there were no chips. Tears rolling down our cheeks we tell the kind lady we are missing our chips. She checks the receipt and notices she forgot to write it down and of course we were not charged. Instead of making a big deal of it she goes to kitchen and comes back with a huge bag of chips and with a smile says we hope you enjoy. Now, that is customer service. We get home and unpack everyones food, open a couple cold ones and begin our Friday night feast. Tacos are huge and come with a choice of several different meats. My flautas are rolled in corn tortillas and I am impressed with the flavor and with four it makes a good meal. My wife mentioned her burrito was a bit dry but had a good flavor. Salsa is warm to hot so proceed with caution. All in all this was a great experience and a nice meal for a very reasonable price. Sanchez Taqueria is worth the visit. We will for sure visit them again when we are back in the area. 5 stars...
Read moreIf I could leave zero stars I would. I typically avoid this place because the food isn't very good and there are better options that are cheaper a short drive away. I was in a bit of a hurry tonight so I decided to stop in and order some food to go. I ordered 3 tacos and grabbed a seat to wait for my food. Long (emphasis on LONG) story short, over 25 minutes later several other people that came in after me had received their orders, so I went up to the counter and asked how much longer it would be for mine. Several minutes after that, after they had essentially turned the kitchen upside down looking for my order, they finally decided to come back to the counter and ask what I had ordered. By that time (over 30 minutes after I got there) I had already decided that if my food wasn't coming that I was going to cancel the order, get a refund, and get the hell out of there.
If you are looking for inexpensive Mexican food that tastes good and is prepared very quickly go to Senior Taco in Lake Oswego/West Linn
If you want homestyle, quality Mexican food in a sit down atmosphere go to Azteca in Beaverton
If you want super high quality, fresh Mexican food that always delivers and is made with local ingredients go to Porque No? in Portland
If you want bland Mexican food made of cheap ingredients that takes slightly too long to prepare and is slightly over priced, this place might be a good fit for you (but I doubt it) Otherwise, avoid this place...
