Bamboo Gardens II — Restaurant in Toms River

In my 63 years on this planet, this was by far the worst dining experience ever. I ordered take out consisting of 2 large Spare Ribs and Lo Mein with extra beef and pork. The ribs looked like they came from a feline 🐈 not a 🐖 pig There texture was like biting into a Goodyear tire and looked a bright almost florescent pink in color and smelt like 3 day old garbage. Then took a bite of the nastiest smelling and looking Lo Mein ever. My wife and I looked at each other in total disgust and immediately threw out $47 worth of food. Today is Thursday, day 4 of suffering through stomach pain and explosive diarrhea. Sorry for the lengthy and graphic nature of this review but I write this post in the spirit of a cautionary tale so others can duck the culinary bullet that I could not. 4.4 stars is so deceptive. So I’ve been eaten at Bamboo Gardens since they opened many years ago . The last few times I ordered I was disappointed but I figured I’d give it a try and ordered the lunch special. Definitely not special. I know I’m not the only one that remembers when these lunch specials were 495 then they went up to 650 and now they’re 10 bucks!! I paid $9.95 plus a $5 tip. I received some boneless ribs that were drier than a desert bone, plain fried rice and a soda. What happened to the egg roll that use to included unless you wanted soup? Ordered from here a few weeks ago and never will again! I order MooShu chicken, General Tso’s and wonton soup. The pancakes that came with the MooShu were HARD and the MooShu was inedible (the flavor was bad, almost like it was cooked in a burnt pan). My husband who will eat anything, tasted the General Tsos and said it was horrible and he opted to stop at McDonald’s on his way to work instead of bringing the food with him. I then tasted it and had to spit it out, this is not anything like General Tsos chicken. The flavor and consistency was way off. All the food went in the garbage!
