Nijiya Market Rolling Hills Store — Attraction in Torrance

Not a big store but they have a lot of stuff. I did get bad food poisoning from one of their ready meals even though it did not have raw fish. I ended up throwing away the last meal box to avoid any more food poisoning. One of the employees there was sitting in the way when I was standing there for a while trying to get something off the shelf, and because I tried to hard to reach it, stuff fell off. She was annoyed rather than apologizing. Then later she checked me out at the register and forgot to put stuff in my bag 2 times! And even though I purchased 3 meals she only put 1 pair of chopsticks in my bag...

A bit cramped but that's because they have nearly EVERYTHING NEEDED for an authentic Asian dining experience. They have prepared food from quick bites, to bentos of various sizes, to more elaborate plates or entrees, through local or imported Asian products to make such dishes, and more. Their produce and meat section is amazing 🤩

Staff is super friendly and inviting, so coming back should not be a problem, because prices are very reasonable...
