I would like to preface this with the fact I have never gone on the internet to submit a negative review for a business, however I had such an unfortunate customer service experience had at the Farmingdale New York location recently that I felt I should. I went shopping for a recliner and had the pleasure of being helped by sales associate Joy. After finding a recliner I loved, Joy advised that due to covid delivery may be delayed, however we had the option to pick up the recliner at the ISLIP new york warehouse. I left the store briefly to make some phone calls and arrangements for pick up from the warehouse and then returned to the store approximately 30 minutes later with my debit card in hand. After discussing with my mother, we planned to take 2 recliners, the couch to go with the set, and a beautiful night light/lamp combo. While processing the sale for 1 recliner, Joy came back to inform me that unfortunately we do not have the option to pick up from the warehouse and we are obligated to pay the $70 delivery fee. Disappointed to hear that we were provided with misleading information, I requested to speak with a manager. Joy left and came back a few minutes later with showroom manager R. CHOWDRY. I explained that I was originally advised I could pick up the recliner from the warehouse and now have to pay for delivery. R. CHOWDRY explained that the "15% off for friends and family is a sufficient discount". My mother and I explained that Joy was a great associate and she is one of the reasons we were going through with the sales, however the misinformation was discouraging. R. CHOWDRY then said "we would rather lose the sale than make promises we cannot deliver." We were very surprised the manager would tell a customer he would rather lose that sale, when a false promise was already made, than compromise with us. He then looked at Associate Joy and said "you see, now they are trying to get something out of us because they were told something." My mother and I were extremely offended by the manager's comment. He began to argue with us in front of other customers on the floor. We almost walked out of the showroom then and there. We decided to not purchase the recliner, lamp or couch. We only purchased one recliner and ensured Joy would receive credit for the sale. It is a shame that she could have had a great sale that day had it not been for the disrespectful and degrading showroom manager R. CHOWDRY.
After much thought I went on the website on August 5th 2020 to purchase the lamp I wanted at the store originally. My account was charged and I have yet to receive any updates or product when my email stated 5-10 day delivery. I called on August 14th to inquire and have not heard back about my order.
I am highly disappointed with the customer service with this company and I would never recommend business to...
Read more5 ⭐️’s!!! I had an incredible experience working with Rosanne Rush at the Raymour & Flanagan store on Route 110, Farmingdale!
Initially walking into the store I just wanted to get a few furniture ideas, as I was in the process of having a townhouse built in PA. I was waiting for construction to be completed. Upon meeting Rosanne I knew I hit the sales person jackpot! My few minutes in the store lasted over an hour talking with her! Rosanne gave me so much helpful information to look over and think about. She was extremely friendly, easy to talk to, helpful, and very knowledgeable! I had a lot of questions and I was a little stressed out, as I was not just shopping for one room, but furnishing an entire townhouse out of state. I had specific furniture requirements and needs for this particular location.
Rosanne was extremely patient and helped me over a two month period to pick out furniture as I waited for construction to be completed. She helped me with floor plans, measuring, and helped me to figure out which furniture would fit comfortably in each room.
The day I made my final decisions and put my order in, Rosanne sat with me for four hours helping me go room by room picking out all of my beautiful furniture, mattresses, rugs, etc… She made this very stressful task a pleasure! She made many suggestions that I appreciated and took from her. She explained the fabrics and the quality of the furniture. After I ordered the furniture she followed up with me and the warehouse regularly to confirm delivery dates. She made sure that everything was delivered in a timely fashion to my townhouse.
I really appreciated Rosanne and all of her help and knowledge! My family and friends have an amazing place to enjoy and stay at when they visit our townhouse! We constantly get compliments on the furniture that we purchased from Raymour & Flanagan!
Thank you Rosanne ! I will never forget the positive experience that I had!! Thank you for all of your assistance in picking out furniture that myself, my family and my friends will be able to enjoy for...

Bought a bedframe, mattress and platform from here. Here’s the order of events.
said we wanted a king bed, mattress and frame salesperson said king mattresses “need” a platform or box spring (this is not true). We wanted an adjustable base, so we added that to the list of things to buy we wanted a low bedframe, so when we saw a frame we liked, we asked multiple times if we could set the platform that we were buying and the mattress that we were buying lower in the frame salesperson assured us everything would work the way we wanted it to. They specifically said the base could be set to 3 inches off the ground. We were told that the platform would fit into the frame with no issue we pay and set up delivery delivery day comes and their assembly team is setting up the bed assembly team tells us the platform does not fit inside the bed because of the pieces of wood (side rails) which hold up the slats are in the way we ask them to remove them, but they say they cannot because the side rails are GLUED and screwed into the sides of the bedframe they plop the heavy mechanical platform on the slats, which causes damage and leave us with a bed we have to climb into I call the salesperson and they tell me that’s normal I remind them how they told us we can have it as low as 3 inches off the ground they now remember and insist that the assembly team made a mistake, and the side rail could definitely be removed a week passes and the salesperson calls to say the side rails are, in fact, glued and screwed into the side of the bed and removing them is not an option salesperson advised us to remove it ourselves and said it would come off easily. There’s no way it’s coming off easily, AND doing so would void our warranty
So now we’re stuck with this bed that we literally have to climb like Mt Everest because it’s so tall - 33 inches off the ground! - because the salesperson gave us the wrong information several times.
Their return policy is non existent.
What would you do if you were...
