Country Nails & Spa — Attraction in Town of Brookhaven

I’m not one to really write reviews, but I just felt the need with this one. I want to share my experience so it doesn’t happen to anyone else. I was highly disappointed here today. I came in to get two nails fixed and a fill-in. First, the person didn’t even take off the acrylic nail that was left and just put a new tip over it. Now I have a huge indent underneath my nail and it is very painful. My other nail was cracked all the way across and I asked why she wasn’t taking it off and putting a new tip on, she then proceeded to put the gel powder over it. Yet again, still very painful. It doesn’t end there… the powder gel she was dumping on my nails and they were all uneven. Once again, I said that two nails were not the same length at all and she didn’t even trim it, she just filed the sides of my nail… THEN, when she was putting the nail polish on she got so much on my finger and didn’t even clean it with nail polish remover. She just used her nail and it smeared all over the side of my finger. I was so upset about the service I received so I decided to speak to the person at the front desk because I’ve never been treated like this at a nail salon before. I was just truly upset that I asked so nicely and she went the lazy way out. I’m in so much pain still and my nails are clumpy and I have nail polish on my fingers. The person at the front desk was very nice, but someone else came up and was not being sympathetic at all. I will never go here again because of the service. Not just the person who did my nails, but the other person who worked there that came up to me after was not being understanding whatsoever. Do not waste...

I wanted to love it as a colleague recommended the salon. I was a little concerned about the level of cleanliness of the nail technician. Multiple clients came in and no one was told to wash their hands initially, so then dirty hands are being dipped into the powder. His area was very unorganized and almost all of his nail files needed to be thrown away. The brush that he used to brush off my nails, looked dirty and it was very hard. I asked for a specific color and he put a totally different color on my nails and I didn’t realize until he had already dipped the third nail so I decided to leave it because it’s not an ugly color, but it’s just not what I asked for. On top of that as soon as he started working on my nails, he immediately cut them so short that I had no choice but to cut all of my long nails, which really sucked. Then the nail technician was going to use a cuticle cutter to rip off powder dip from the top of my nails instead of soaking them. I had to stop him and ask him what he was doing. The job that he did was just OK and I wouldn’t go back there or recommend it to anyone else...

ABSOLUTE worst service you can get. Let me start by saying that as a business, the owner and most staff are very hostile. I don't think this is a language issue. It is just the sense of entitlement! They treat African Americans poorly. It's almost to the point as if we are begging rather than paying them for a service. I have heard the owner tell the Hispanic worker that she should NOT speak her native tongue because it makes the customers uncomfortable. Meanwhile, they speak they native language without any thoughts. I was in with my daughter who had an appointment, when we arrived on time for our appointment, we were told that the nail tech left for the day.. OK.. not bad because there are 4 other nail techs available ( NOT WORKING) The owner then starts doing the other workers nail and tell me that he is not able to do it. Long story short, we left without getting my daughters nails done because they refused to stop what they were doing to take care of a paying customer. I am giving this place 1 star for...
