When you go to sell gold and silver there should be a few basic pieces of information you should need/want to know when selling your gold and silver. The second you walk through the door the market prices are written on an erasable white board hung right in the center of the store. I specifically noted erasable white board because the market changes everyday so you know, Seth, the owner, changes it everyday. I also know Seth is up to date because when I walked in I overheard him talking through the process and rates to an older woman to make sure she was comfortable with what she was doing. I knew the first 5 seconds of being in Seth’s store this was the place to bring my gold and silver. Within 2-3 minutes I was welcomed by a baby faced young gentleman billy who helped me with my transaction. Initially hesitant, my concerns vanished as he took my gold and silver checked the feral quality by using a simple magnet and then verified by reading the stamps on my things. Billy, unexpectedly, which I already knew, told me exactly what I had. By reading the gold and silver he was able to determine the purity and even the maker. My things never got further than 5’ from me, and my percentage of return which is an equation of type of material, weight of material, purity of material and the market rate was between the standard 80-95%. I've been taking care of my late friends dad for the last couple of years. He is 80 years old. He has been a coin collector for 60 plus years. Alfred and his son love digging up coins and going to coin events and coin shops together. Alfred has been in a nursing home for many years now and his son passed away a few years ago.
