Goods Galore Overstock llc — Attraction in Town of Greece

I find it funny that they responded to a bad review stating that they strictly enforce their rules but…..I’ve been a long time shopper there. From time to time you find really good deals but it’s a disappointing feeling more than once. I have sadly unjoined the group because they pick and choose when the rules apply. I bought something off their website and paid for it then the owner took it back and refunded my money that I have to wait for because he sold it in store to someone who claimed it online even though it was purchased already. The rules and directions were clearly posted on the post the site has been mentioned many time while I’m shopping in store but yet the guy must of been his friend because he took it from me and gave it to the other guy. The owner stated on the phone the other customer wasn’t a friend but he called him a different name on the phone that what the guys fb name was so that was kind of weird he also says it happens a lot but it shouldn’t from a business stand point. Very hurtful feeling when I think I’m doing business you don’t think your business is not good because their friends business is better or that my business is good business unless a preferred customer wants what I purchased. I have been told I have 48 hours to pick things up when I get there the item has been sold. After the third time I said something on the page and the female owner was nice enough to put the item aside until the next time I went in because I go there frequently. But to the male owner of the store Bobby I am not a valued customer and rules that I follow out of respect for the business do not apply to certain customers and for that I can no longer spend my money with them. I wish them no ill will I just want to forewarn others and share my experience in cutting ties with a store I really liked but was not appreciated at. Purchased a card table and 4 chairs "brand new in the box" opened up the box and the whole table top was cracked in half down the middle. Called the phone number and was told they had no more in stock but we could swap the table out for one that was in new condition. Went in with the broken table to swap, they gave us a table that had been set to the side that had a hole about 3inches across in the corner. We said this one is clearly damaged as well, they opened a box they had set aside as reserved for someone else and said "well hopefully they won't be in before monday" and then put our damaged table we were returning inside the box. When we got the table set up at home we noticed that the vinyl was peeling back from the corner. This made a total of 3 damaged tables they gave us that was advertised as "new in the box." We called again to explain and were told we could wait another week and hope more came in on another truck, at which point I requested my money back and the guy said that would be fine just return the whole set. When we brought the whole set back in for our refund the woman gave us a huge attitude and said there was no way she was doing a refund, that she would give us store credit at that was it. We insisted she call the man who said we would be receiving a refund and FINALLY processed the refund on my card. These people are a bunch of...

If i could give it a 2.5 i would, but definitely not a 3! Not going to lie they have good products I’ve been picking stuff up from here since their first location i was impressed at first and very satisfied! But my problem is that i was told by the owner that everything is they sell is 40% off retail price since day one if I’m not mistaken or maybe less but i recall 40%,....... this was in the beginning! I’ve noticed over time since goods galore has became more popular that the prices are hardly a bargain now and definitely not 40% off retail not even 20% sometimes. To me it seems like they price as high as they think they can get away with, making you think you got a deal and what a lot of people don’t realize is that they aren’t really getting a good deal. A lot of the time their selling you returned items from the store for a slightly cheaper price. Same with the over stocked items they sell them for as much as they can.........$$$$$$$$ But the point of this review is that they advertise for a percentage off retail and don’t actually apply that discount to any of their products they make their own price to get the most...
