Anytime Fitness — Attraction in Town of Greenburgh

Nice gym but never going back-advertises great customer care but does not come through I signed up for Anytime Fitness with a one year contract and really enjoyed it for the majority of the year. It’s a nice, clean, convenient gym that has everything you need and some great classes. However, when I signed up, they advertised it as being very customer friendly, and breezed through the signup without allowing me to read any of the contract’s details. By the end of my year long contract I was 9 months pregnant. It worked out perfectly because I did not plan on renewing once the baby was born, especially since I would be leaving work and would not be receiving a paycheck. Turns out the gym automatically renewed my contract, charged me a renewal fee and the first month’s fee without notifying me in any way that the contract would be renewed. When I asked if this was a mistake they said it was in my contract (I was never made aware that autorenewal was even an option). They gave me extremely robotic responses both via email and on the phone, and did not seem interested at all in assisting me or even hearing my dilemma. I never intended on another year at this gym, and after the way they’ve dismissed my concerns, I will never be going back. My husband also tried to appeal to someone to let me out of my contract without paying the exorbitant cancellation fee (on top of the sneaky renewal fees that I originally wanted refunded) with no luck. He plans on cancelling his membership as well because Anytime Fitness clearly cares more about scamming members out of extra money than they do about their customers. I am so happy I switched gyms! First impressions I meet Simone who is an absolute gem! The gym is clean and all I smelled was the cleaning products. I was so happy I couldn't stop smiling. Then, after my consult and connecting with Simone, I knew that I was in good hands. Simone is amazing she greets me by name every time she sees me even if she is done with her shift. She cheers me on, she will congratulate me and tell me how proud she is of my progress💞💪. She is so kind and approachable that you are motivated to try new machines and push your self. Oh,and don't worry about not knowing how to use those machines. Simone will make sure you feel comfortable using them. She will stop what she is doing to teach you how to use them !! Simone is such a beautiful human, she truly is dedicated to seeing you win. There is no sales pitch, she never makes you feel like you are pestering her or you should know something. Infact from day one she always made me feel like we knew each other and were friends! It's such a different experience here, and I know she is the one that's making the difference. I have never been this motivated to get to the gym. She is always actively cleaning or doing laundry and always manages to have time to interact and help all of the members that need her. She takes service with a smile to another level! They are deadly. The gym members get upset about people you sweat. Then the gym members get upset when people get clean. They like to charge you and arm and a leg. Don’t sign up because everything is a contract. There is no free trial. There is no real help. It is a small gym. You will lose your rent money, your food to this gym.

The majority of gyms. Lose customers because they dont tell their customers about the gym fees properly. Why cant you not be stupid and charge the annual fee the moment you get the gym membership.

No they want to be sneaky keep secretly charging you a membership fee so one of their employees or multiple of their employees can do and get whatever with your rent money.

It’s a gym people are going to sweat. The staff smiles too much. The smiles are just we are taking your money and your everything. It’s like only certain people get to use the gym. Very disappointing.

I see all these gay guys grab whatever they want out of the fridge. They do whatever around the gym and diss people.

I Dont know I tried to be okay with certain things at this gym. But it just Dont feel right.

Its such a small gym and I'm paying so much for it and not getting enough out of it. This place just took and took from me.
